So many magnificent Autumn pictures
What then can I choose
But a cottage, pond with fluffy ducks,
reflection on the ripples - so very beautiful

~ Autumn's Blaze ~
A gentle touch of copper tint, begins the autumn glow
A pretty sparkle in the forest, kindling tender show
Luminous green fades softly yellow, enriched with sparkling gold
Veins of flax embroidered, gently gaining hold.
A little tinge, of scarlet red, of orange, turning brass
An expectation starts within, of gilding that is cast
Another day, another hue, there spreads a warming blush
Until upon a glorious morn, bursts forth a blazing rush.
The summer heat gives one last gasp, its light is freely tossed
A flaming fire explodes, the world with bronze embossed
A flame of hope spreads o'er the hills, one brush before the cold
God sweeps His hand across the land, a wonder to behold
A fiery blaze awash, burns deep into our hearts
A stainglass window to our soul, of God's mosaic art

~ Autumnal welcome ~
The golden days are drawing near, feel the chill of morning air,
It's time to hear the honking geese, winter's passage to declare.
Shake off the driest parch of summer, its ways are all complete,
Fall now displays its welcome wreathe, to prepare the earth for sleep.
Farewell the warmth of yesterday, as it softly drifts from view,
Embrace the vibrant colour, cool relationship re-new.
Remember summer only, as a season's passing friend,
Of humid zephyrs, balmy nights, preparing beauty deep within.
For, now will glow rich wonder, exploding such delights,
The Creator's smile of joy, a feast before your eyes.

~ Autumn's Hush ~
I heard its whispers soft, upon the window pane,
A little leaf flew by, then fell beneath the rain.
I looked on high and saw the tree, there bursting forth
In colours rich and ruby red, the golden rust it wore.
And then, I wished my friend, was standing there with me,
To watch the autumn come, and enjoy all that I see.
So we could talk and muse, and walk beneath the trees,
Crunch, crunch along the pathway, on pretty fallen leaves.
Then toss them in the air, with sweet abandonment,
And kick those leaves about, with gladsome sweet content.
Oh, don't we love the autumn, God's gift of ruby red....
The grandest season that He made, under foot and over head.

~ Autumn's Blush ~
Just before the trees lie bare, there blooms an autumn blush,
A pretty glow upon its cheek, within the falling hush.
A lingering joy, a flame of hope, one touch before the winter cold,
God paints upon His canvas, a wonder to behold.
As summer's strength is blown away, it turns to kiss the frost,
And a winsomeness bursts forth, before the warmth is lost.
A parting flush of awesome colour, to bear us through the chill,
The gentle blush of golden beauty, our hearts, our memory to fill.

~ Autumn Tapestry ~
A canopy enfolds the world, what wonder to unfurl
Explodes the sky with wondrous glow, a regal mantle blows.
Leaves twirl, so softly in the mist
Cascade, then drop, the tender earth to kiss.
Corkscrews curling, tumbling down, cloak the ground with golden gown,
Pirouettes on frosty breeze, fleeing from their mother trees
Who stand with branches starkly bare,
For winter's snowy coat to wear.
Furry creatures, need to store, rustle on the quilted floor.
The sky spreads wide with fluttering wing, hushed the forest's silent ring,
God is weaving nature's nest
Entwining secret threads of spring.
