.~ Silent In The Twilight....
How can I stay silent, while waiting here below,
As the moonlight softly whispers, it's enticing good night glow
For if I didn't whisper back, the sea and sky will shout,
Aloud in all their glory, they are always crying out.
Can I stay quiet in the twilight, when the rocky hills echo,
With mysterious sounds of wonder, aged secrets that they know.
While thunder shakes the heavens, as You ride upon the storm,
Sending lightening bolt display, from the power that You form.
What do I know, of constellations making every season work,
The laws of the universe, and Your dominion over all the earth.
Wisdom to count the clouds, to tip water jars from high above,
When the dust becomes too hard, You pour forth of Your love.
As the moonlight softly whispers, it's enticing good night glow

When the dust becomes too hard, You pour forth of Your love.
You made doors to close the ocean in, and shaped the earth like clay,
The eagle soars at Your command, the sky as his domain.
You watch the doe give birth to fawn, the donkey running free,
And clothe the horse with flowing mane, each design a novelty.
Where was I, when you laid the earth's foundations down,
As You marked off each dimension, beyond all I understand,
The morning stars You formed to celebrate as one.
And when the angels shouted in wondrous joy, all the heavens rang.
How can I stay silent, when I know above all this, You love me still,
From the moment of my birth, all my life You fill.
How can I not live my life, in deep awe of Your voice
For I hear it deep within my soul, to listen my delightful choice.

How can my heart not smile, when Your fragrance flows abundantly,
Wafting through the many shadows, Your heartbeat comes to me.
How can I not praise you, with my lips, my life, my heart,
When You are here, Oh Father, so near in the dark.
Yet, I will stay silent, hushed,
And bow myself to You,
Overcome by Your presence and all You are to me,
Your love I know is true.

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
“I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
Luke 19: 39.40
Lord of the winds, I cry to thee
I that am dust, and blown about by every gust
I fly to thee.
Lord of the water, unto thee I call, I that am weed upon the waters borne,
And by the waters torn,
Tossed by the waters, at thy feet I fall.

Job 40: 15 “Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you; He eats grass like an ox. 16 See now, his strength is in his hips, And his power is in his stomach muscles. 17 He moves his tail like a cedar; Job 41:1 “Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook, Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower? Job 42: 1 Then Job answered the LORD and said: 2 “I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be held from You. 3 You asked - ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. 6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.” 10 Then the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. |

Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great;
Thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment:
who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Who layeth the beams of His chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds His chariot:
who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh His angels spirits;
His ministers a flaming fire:
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

~ In The Beginning......
Back in the days of nebulous
nothing, way back before time came to
be,
The darkness penetrated the deep, far beyond, imagine nothing to see.
The Creator pondered this emptiness, then with a mighty creative hand,
One sweep across the cosmos, the universe exploded,
Earth became a spinning land.
The darkness was not of His plan, so from His soul unfolded light,
Evening delight...morning so bright...
He chose to separate day from night.
Clouds swirled up to heaven, Waves hurtled below,
The expanse of sky was born, in power and glory, where swirling winds blow.
God's design now for His world, as dry land arose from the depths,
Like a mighty explosive volcano, land became His third creative step.
Ah, such inspiration He had in store.. Wonderment, and all made for our pleasure,
Intricacies of plants and trees, delicate of hue.... To delight us beyond measure
This verdancy craved sunshine to flourish,
so God blazed one to dominate the sky
Then settled the glowing moon in place.
How I wonder what you are- myriad stars at night, to make us sigh...
But alas His mighty ocean swirled devoid of life.
Ah, what wonders He detailed diverse,
From delicate sea horses to whales, with immense manoeuvre..
His wild imagination burst.
Oh, I'm glad He filled the heavens with the swooping of the wing,
From them we delight in flight, lift beyond sight, soaring on the wind.
The last day, such treasure to unfold, as he opened His visionary heart,
Spreading the amazing animal kingdom, diverse in majesty,
from the smallest fly to grand giraffe.
Yet wait, a greater miracle is in store His image now revealed... within this plan-
To have dominion over the earth-
He moulded a beautiful woman from His magnificent man,
To share in all His eternal glory... But wait... for that begins another story.

~Papa's Love ~
Papa peered out the misty window, gazing in the evening light,
It was time for the pleasant evening chat,
to savour all the day's delight,
As usual, just before the rest of night.
But, now the lamp was burning low, flickering on the sill,
He should be coming soon,
the hearth is always glowing warm-
To be together always, this is the father's will.
Something must have happened, he's usually here with me,
So Papa rose to check for shadows, falling on the path....but, wherever could he be.
Now Papa knew, the time had come.....to wander out and call,
His child was lost for sure, rambling in the dark of night,
maybe even had a fall.
.
With heavy heart he left his place, calling out his name,
"My dear son, where are you, My child I love you, are you crying out in pain?" ...
Then soft and feeble came the answer, frightened in its plea,
"I heard you in the garden, but in shame, I turned away,
for You dear loving Father, will not be pleased with me".
The Father's heart was breaking, His beloved child had broken trust, severed now their cord of love,
and every evening dialogue, lay shattered in the dust.
For the child had heard a louder voice, thinking it was soft, enticing, smooth, echoing the sound of love, maybe brighter, richer, fuller, with all delight to soothe. But now that taste was bitter, for the voice brought only chains, regret raged now in
darkness,as the agony of sorrow fell, he staggered in the pain.

BUT, deeper yet, The Father's love,
no debt of sin, could thwart His plan,
For He could heal this cruel grief, release the grip of death,
in the heart of every man.
He would have His own Son die, with the horror placed upon His soul, His death could break the power of sin-
To give life, so all those lost alone, can be welcomed home,
made whole. And now, that plan is done.... Papa sighs contentedly, while He watches at the hearth.
All His children home in pure delight, skipping up the path.
Little ones sit happily, upon His loving knee, or look at Him with loving gaze, and all are singing songs of joy, thankful to The Father, in never ending praise.

The greatness of man's power is the measure of his surrender.
It is not a question of who we are, or of what we are,
but whether God controls us.
Henrietta C Mears
He is in control. Nothing alarms Him, or takes Him by surprise.
Nothing is too big for Him to handle, or so small it escapes His attention.
When the winds of my world begin to blow, He remains seated.
Though enraging waves surround me, He governs their temper…I need not be moved,
Because the Lord is seated and sovereign…He alone is sovereign.

~ The Day The King Rode In ~
On the day the King rode in, we were among the milling crowd,
Curious, unsure, questioning, with hearts all full of doubt.
Because on the day the King rode in, we didn't know to praise,
With no grasp of why His death, would give us lasting days.
But on the day the King rode in,
We realised our deep sin,
Though then, we cried crucify, now, to Him our hearts we bring.
As the day the King rode in, He opened up our eyes,
To see we had no good within, our self had need to die.
.
Yes, the day our King rode in, was the time we did repent,
Falling down with broken hearts, for all the blood He spilt.
On the very day the King rode in, He set the captives free,
By taking on Himself, our sin, life came, for you and me.
Oh, the day Our King rode in, though once we hid our face,
Now, we cry, Thank You Jesus, Lord,
You saved us by Your grace.
