God made you as you are, His purpose to fulfill
He designed you very 'specially, for His own perfect will
He placed in you the talents, to suit the life He plans
And formed your gentle attributes, as needed from His hand
The Father knows the very ones, that you are meant to touch-
The tender hearts that you alone, will love so very much.
He shapes the calling on your life, the beauty where you fit
To glorify your Father, Lord with your own special gift.
Each moment He is leading you, for in His plan you rest,
While daily in His Word you trust, desiring to be blessed.
He lights your pathway step by step, as day by day you walk,
His loving peace, His strength, delight, your life and sure resource.

Believe God's word and power more than you believe your own feelings and experiences.
Your Rock is Christ, and it is not the Rock which ebbs and flows,
but your sea.
Samuel Rutherford

Christ is building His kingdom with earth's broken things.
Men want only the strong, the successful, the victorious, the unbroken,
in building their kingdoms; but God is the God of the unsuccessful,
of those who have failed. Heaven is filling with earth's broken lives,
and there is no bruised reed that Christ cannot take
and restore to glorious blessedness and beauty.
He can take the life crushed by pain or sorrow
and make it into a harp whose music shall be all praise.
He can lift earth's saddest failure up to heaven's glory.
J. R. Miller
Calmly turn with an untroubled spirit to your Heavenly Father, who
is always holding out His arms to you. You will look to Him for gladness
and refreshment when depressed, for moderation and recollection when in
good spirits, and you will find that He will never leave you to want. A
trustful glance, a silent movement of the heart towards Him will renew
your strength; and though you may often feel as if your soul were
downcast and numb, whatever God calls you to do, He will give you power
and courage to perform. Our Heavenly Father, so far from ever
overlooking us, is only waiting to find our hearts open, to pour into
them the torrents of His grace.
Francois Fenelon
I think this is where God wants us to come to, in heart... once we come to Him,
with all our heart.. then we will want... To see Him with our eternal eyes,
to know this as reality, that HE exists right now, right here, and we can live with Him,
within, without, around, above and behind, He is, all we need, at all times,
more than any earthly Father/person can ever be..
when we discover this is true, we are at peace
and know we are safe and loved and cared for..
Where there is faith, there is love...Where there is love, there is peace
Where there is peace, there is God,....And where there is God, there is no need.
Leo Jolstoy
Jesus Christ did not say, "You will understand why war has come,"
but "Do not be scared, do not be put in a panic."...
It is the most natural thing in the world to be scared.
There is no natural heart of man or woman that is not scared by these things,
and the evidence that God's grace is at work amongst us is that we do not get terrified.
Oswald Chambers
All during the day, in the chinks of time between the things we find ourselves obliged to do,
there are the moments when our minds ask: 'What next?'
In these chinks of time, ask Him:
'Lord, think Your thoughts in my mind. What is on Your mind for me to do now?'
When we ask Christ, 'What next?' we tune in
and give Him a chance to pour His ideas through our enkindled imagination.
If we persist, it becomes a habit.
Frank Laubach
~ Enough ~
For a blessing we shall pray, and while waiting in the storm,
patience at it's best........
Shall we know what is enough.
Ah yes, the peace it comes, a serenity within, the waters calm,
The spirit stills, a whisper in the night...
A voice, "I Am" - return your heart,
"I AM"
Enough.

At the break of dawn, what beauty shall we see, Maybe there is pain and misery.. But, what shall we choose to be... Shall we only breathe in sorrow, Or imagine the possibility of the day's capacity. For where there is shadow now, we can find the sunshine, as a gift for you and me. So twist now, twist now Turn around to find. Reach now, reach now, Watch the beauty climb...... Cradling your heart, - unfolding now this moment, Ask God for the joy, to feed your tender soul. Then listen closely, you will hear, your song bubbling up within, Daybreak will arise, To make your spirit whole. When I am sore beset, I seek some quiet place, Some lonely room or barren windswept hill,
And there in silence wait apart untilI see again the smile upon God's face;
Until His presence floods me like the dawn, And I can hear His whispered,
Peace, be still, And know the strength to do His will.
I turn to take my load and find it gone.
