~ Celebration of Secret
Smiles ~
Who are the true heroes shining forth, hidden silently behind the glory,
Labouring unselfishly, their offering an untold story.
Quietly loving, as soft angels unseen, giving, unaware that others needs
Are placed before their own,
For the good of all that needs to be.
Why are they so selfless, filled with a meekness never known,
Where do they find that secret smile, always gently shown.
How do they labour on, while others rise as first of all,
Unaware, glowing the spirit of Jesus- giving all the more.
But we will honour them, the truly beautiful, and their fragrant faith forever sweet
For the love of God they freely give, is the ever flowing spring
By which hearts and lives and countries, are made complete.

~ Flame Of Hope ~
I saw you reaching out somehow, I felt your heart of care
Your heartbeat for a stranger, the love you sought to share
I saw you going in by air and boat, to lift a motherless child
When there was no-one else who could, I saw your gentle smile
I saw you cuddle close a crying tot, though she was not your own
You held her sorrow to your heart, so she was not alone
I saw so many different folk together, sharing all they had
Touching with a gift of love, to make another glad
I saw the heart of God, in all you sought to do
The flame of hope yet burning bright, within the gentleness of you

~ Daddy I miss you so much ~
Daddy it's your day of honor every day
That's why we sure need you here,
I wish you weren't so far away
It's so long waiting, year after year.
'Cause Mommy and me, we miss you so
But I'm brave, never fear,
And when she's real sad, just as you said
I wipe away her tears.
Every day is not real good without you
But, we still set your place,
At the top of the dinner table
And pretend we see your face.
Then as the sun is setting way over there
I tuck Mommy in real tight,
And we say our prayers again
For God to keep you, while you fight.
We're real proud of you Daddy
Of your big heart and all,
When I'm big I'll serve God and country too
And in your footsteps fall.

~Middle click ~♫ Thank you Soldiers utube.♫~
When I lay my head down every night, and go to sleep in peace,
I can stay there knowing all is well, while you're standing on your feet.
Keeping watch, protecting shore to shore, in the air and ocean too,
Defending freedom at all cost, for the red, white and the blue.
“Thank you, oh thank you, men and women, brave and strong.
To those who served so gallantly, we sing this grateful song”.
To the soldiers who have travelled on to countries far and near,
In peace and war you paid the price, for the cause you hold so dear.
That we may wake each morning bright and know that freedom rings,
Because of your great sacrifice, your country joins to sing-
“Thank you, oh thank you, men and women, brave and strong.
To those who served so gallantly, we sing this grateful song”.

~ The Land Of Those I Love ~
There is this land, America, I love, I pray it might stay free,
Because so many men and women, gave their life so it would be.
It's called the country of the brave, a place for all to love,
A country formed by God alone, for all, there's been enough.
Today your flag is waved on high. The red, the white, the blue,
To recall from where you've come, and all God's done for you.
Each family blessed, will gather 'round, that flag in great respect,
In the glory of it's purpose, to give to God your best.
You'll bend the knee before your flag, in prayer before your Lord,
To honor Him in thought and deed, and cleave unto His word.
So He may bless your country, and keep the glory won.
By all who sought for right and good, and gave with all their love.
Today you'll rise to celebrate,God's life that is a gift,
Within your land, of love and truth, you'll sing for how you live.
The beautiful, the mighty land, of people that I love.
God bless you, keep you safe and true, for all that must be done.
God bless and keep you, each and every one.

"Thank you Police"
Ready for the cry, alarm, Policemen, ready at their best,
To give their thought and might, a plight to put to rest.
At just a moment's notice, on them we can depend,
For wisdom, love and strength, an emergency to tend.
Well trained for instant speed, their life they give away,
With heart astir, intent by faith, to serve another day.
A wall of power, protection, compelled to forge ahead,
They will be strong, they will endure, though filled with fearsome dread.
Finding at the scene of need, the ones that are ensnared,
As courageous and the brave, may God surround them there.
Empower them with You, Oh God, for what they must forebear,
In all that seems surreal, too great, we praise God for their care.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you to our hero, our protector everywhere.
Thank you to a dear Policeman who lives to bravely care
Our prayers are always constant in all you're called to do.
Our hearts are filled with tribute for all you must pursue
God guard your soul and mind. God be your daily drive.
God be your hands of skill and all your needs supply
We honor all your sacrifice, you deserve this accolade
You are the valor we uphold, and today, congratulate.
"Thank You Firefighter"
Poised to hear the bell alert, Firemen, ready on the edge,
To give their life, their strength, their all, a fire to put to rest.
At any moment's notice, by day or night, defend,
Don boots and coats and gear, a raging fire to tend.
With engine at the throttle, their life is spent to help,
Each fireman with courage, prayer, to fight they are compelled.
To shelter, guard and rescue, protection they will forge,
To give, to run, they will be brave, though fires scream and roar.
Searching in the smoke to find, the ones that they can bear,
As heroes, as the brave, Oh God, protect them there.
Grant them deepest wisdom Lord, uphold their hearts and minds
We thank them all, we have to have, devotion of this kind.
Thank you to our fireman hero, our protector of the land,
Thank you to our firefighter, strike up the marching band
"Two in, two out" Our prayers are always constant in all you're called to do
Our hearts are filled with tribute, for all you must pursue
"Stop, drop and roll" God guard your soul and mind, God be your feet to march
God be your strength and might to save our land and hearts
~ United In Love ~
From time immemorial together they stand,
United in care for those hurt and alone, from disaster unplanned.
Single-minded in the fight to heal and to bless,
To restore a soul back to be loved, at their life's expense
They give of their best.
Dedicating their life in devotion of heart,
Trusting God to heal after performing their part.
Without question why, they live by that call, in days not their own,
Locked in a sad grieving world of sorrow and fear,
In a beautiful place where angels are known.
UNBEARABLE LOVE
We were all born here, for each other
time travelers, moving spirits, breaking each other's hearts
falling into each other's arms, angels on this mission, with this vision.
From the near and very far away, we are mirrors of Unbearable Love
warriors of our Father's undying Love.
~ Always in our
hearts ~
Grant them a vision Lord, a sight to see beyond,
Past all the suffering and pain, to see Your path to walk upon.
Grant them sight to see within the dust, the beauty of Your way,
A special miracle from Yourself, of faith to face another day.
Grant them of Your warmth Lord, in the darkness of the night,
Fill their hearts with Your tender love, so they can see Your light.
Give them Your ears Lord, to hear above the shrapnel shrill,
What Your soul is whispering, the tolling of Your joyous bell.
Grant them a cooling touch of peace Lord, as they face the searing heat,
Thirsting in the barrenness, for You their desperate need.
Grant them Your loving hands Lord, to touch with gentle comfort,
So they may know that caring, is the greatest battle fought.
Grant them Your strength Lord, each dawn to walk Your way,
May they know Your power, support, to hold them up each day.
Heal the memory that's hurting more, while in Your perfect care,
And help us, if You take them home, they will be safest there.
" ♫ The Army Keeps Rolling Along ♫"
March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We're the Army and proud of our name, we're the Army and proudly proclaim
First to fight for the right, and to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along, proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won, and the Army Goes Rolling Along.
Then it's Hi! Hi! Hey! The Army's on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong "Two! Three!"
For where e’er we go, You will always know That The Army Goes Rolling Along.
Valley Forge, Custer's ranks, San Juan Hill and Patton's tanks,
And the Army went rolling along, Minute men, from the start, Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along. Men in rags, men who froze, Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along. Faith in God, then we're right, and we'll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.
Lyrics by Harold W. Arberg
An Artillery Song, dedicated to the U. S. Field Artillery - from the "Caisson Song"
Melody and words originally by Gen. Edmund L. Gruber (1908).
Wilber Marion Brucker dedicated the music on Veterans Day, November 11, 1956.
The song is played at the conclusion of most U.S. Army ceremonies,
and all soldiers stand at attention and sing.
God of our life,, there are days when the burdens we carry
chafe our shoulders and weigh us down; when the road seems dreary and endless,
the skies grey and threatening; when our lives have no music in them,
and our hearts are lonely, and our souls have lost their courage.
Flood the path with light, run our eyes to where the skies are full of promise;
tune our hearts to Your brave music; give us the sense of comradeship with heroes and saints of every age;
and so quicken our spirits that we may be able to encourage
the souls of all who journey with us on the road of life, to Your honour and glory. ~ Augustine
In the midst of this raw view of man's struggle,
I have seen and heard of Christ's light shining through, radiating out of the darkness.
Men giving their own lives in order to save others. God's people leading prayer services
in the filth of the New Orleans Superdome. -in the middle of the war zone, silently praying,
Services of worship rising forth in the mist of knee-high rubble,
creating bubbles of peace that invite those around them, into a sanctuary only the Holy Spirit can provide.
I have no doubt we will hear tale after tale of God's miracles in lives
bringing forth good news in action, word and thought. ~ Katherine
~ Liberty For The Nation ~
You'll stay alive in liberty, not slip behind a mask
You'll keep of all our God can be, that will forever last
Cold darkness will not overpower, enshroud you from the light
For God can lift the cloak of night, unveil His lasting life
The shackles of man's thoughts release, when eyes are drawn on high
He takes all love of magic arts, to make the thinking right
False images, He will break, for trust in truth alone
And keep the vain philosophies, from infusing hearts to stone
You'll crumble not, an empty monument, in history's memory
When moving in the life of God, His good alone to seek
Speaking love into your nation, will unloose your lips to grace
Singing only to your Maker, you'll gaze upon His face
And rise each day in courage, for God alone gives worth
Righteousness will form the future, you cherished from your birth
Your nation of great glory, will not grow cold as ice
"In God You Trust" His mercy comes, by His own sacrifice
GRANDMOTHER with 2500 grandchildren. Irena Sendler, 1910-2009.
Miss Irena was a wartime hero from Poland who helped rescue 2500 Jewish children
from Warsaw Ghetto and from certain death.
She and 25 others worked together to smuggle the little ones out anyway possible.
They used trained dogs that would bark on cue to disguise any noise the hidden children might make.
She was eventually discovered and sentenced to be executed.
However, God helped her to avoid death, even though she was tortured while in prison.
She never looked for recognition though she was given several honors in her lifetime
including Israel's "Righteous Among The Living" award in 1965.
Her image appears 2009 on a Polish coin. She was nominated for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
AND I am sure that the 2500 that live on, will never forget someone named SENDLER
was sent from Heaven on a mission to rescue each one of them...
~ War Child ~
I heard your heart-felt cry.. Please see me in the wild,
Running in the fear and heat, hiding in the desert wind, so fearful, cold, war child.
I saw your eyes' deep sorrows, haunted in the night,
The tears dried long ago in fear and dread and fight... running far and wide, war child.
I felt your pain and grief, but, not your wounded soul,
I could never know the terror that saturates your all.. as all alone you cried, war child.
I listened to your heartbeat drumming out the dread
The loss of home and kindred, surrounded by sheer death.... forever crying, why, war child.
I heard you scream for childhood, stolen from age eight,
Born to bear war's armour, no life to contemplate, only burning fire and ire, war child.
I warmed to that aid worker, who smuggled you that day, From hunger, fear and torment
To you new life she gave, whispering, live, don't die war child.
But, disaster took her there, so, she didn't live to see,
You, travelling the world to sing Your thanks and gravity for more of life, war child.
I heard the horror in your voice, the sadness borne to bear, Born to be a warrior,
I prayed then, as I cried go, hide no more war child.
You spoke of your dear mother, her inspiration, love,
She laid down deep foundations, of music from above, for you, she loved and cried, war child.
She gave to you her heart of courage, deeper worth. You knew God had a purpose
From the love she gave at first, to live, to sing, to fly,
be loved again, war child.
~ The Wheels Of Justice ~
God has His wheels of life , wheels within a wheel,
Intersecting
circles , twirling spheres
Times of life to seal.
An endless array of
agencies , carry out His plan,
Angel wings, gently bring
Mysteries
from God's own Hand.
To unfold the wonder of redeeming love
We trace the steps of time, things so undeserved
Suffering to learn, that God is truly kind.
We wonder why the innocent hurt
And why wickedness grinds unchecked,
What is the reason, for this tragic season
Is God's Hand
outstretched?
But His wheels will keep on turning
His powerful trail is blazing, all
across the land,
His way is very certain, til He draws the curtain
On
pursuits of man.
The fires of war may thunder, everywhere we see,
As
evil would be slain, with the courage of the day
By men longing to be
free.
Need we fear such villainy, corruption of this earth,
With hate the
goal, is there control
In man's search for worth.
But God sits upon
His throne, all is held within His Hand,
He turns the wheels, just as
He feels
Thus we can trust His plan.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of The Lord
And when I saw it, I fell upon my face,
and I heard a voice of One that spake.. Ezekiel One
Behold The Lord God will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him:
behold His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.
It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth...
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy.
Hast thou not known, the Lord, the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
There is no searching of His understanding.
But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings as eagles. Isaiah 40:10, 22, 23, 28, 31
MY TIMES ARE IN THY HAND...
My times are in Thy hand,
Such GRACE to sustain my way,
Trusting all to what Thou in wisdom planned.
Our Lord knows our need day by day.
My times are in Thy hand,
Such GUIDANCE to direct my way,
Depending not on what I understand,
But on Him Who keeps me lest I stray.
My times are in Thy hand,
Such GOODNESS to bless my way,
Providing from Thy storehouse at Thy command
Thy sweetness in glorious display.
My times are in Thy hand,
Such GLORY to delight my way,
Displaying the riches of that Heavenly Land,
That shall be mine when I am there to stay.
