~ The Light Within ~
It's the time of year for fun
and just like every day, our Lord Jesus is the key.
He, the sweetest source of joy, within the heart of you and me
In all we do and all we say, these times are only His,
With Him as number one for love, He is the purest bliss.
There is no fear, for He is near, in Him we're truly blessed
He is the beauty... purest good, of heaven's loveliness
He is the life, the light, the joy, in all we decorate-
He puts within our hearts the smiles, this day in every way
God bless you, as you go, to share His heart today.

~ When October's End Befalls ~
When October's end befalls with the games and all the fun,
Can something really scare us, or make us up and run.
No, for Jesus is our King, The Lord of life and light.
So nothing of the darkness can make us feel uptight.
When October's end has come with the tricks and all the treats,
Will people in black dress-ups, make our hearts skip up a beat.
No, for our Jesus is here with us and we look upon His face,
He gives us all His beauty, as we give to Him, first place.
When October's end comes up and we're walking down the street,
Will we all be truly safe, no matter who we meet
Yes, God is our dear Father, He's with us every day,
With Him we are protected, when He's invited in our play.
When October's end is here and the pumpkin is all clean,
We can cut a happy smile and glowing light will beam.
Just like Jesus took it all, and washed us by His death,
To fill us with His glow, by blood He freely shed.
When October's end befalls with the games and all the fun,
Can something really scare us, or make us up and run.
No, for Jesus is our King, The Lord of life and light.
So nothing of the darkness can make us feel uptight.
When October's end has come with the tricks and all the treats,

We can cut a happy smile and glowing light will beam.
Just like Jesus took it all, and washed us by His death,
To fill us with His glow, by blood He freely shed.
When October's end arrives, with music that's so sad,
We can still skip with our Jesus, to be forever glad.
Singing with a heart of thanks, rejoicing in the Lord,
Praying for each other, and telling of His Word.
When October's end is due, every costume that we make,
Will show that we love Jesus and work for His dear sake.
For we want our lovely Jesus to have all of the praise,
Be glorified within us and love us all our days.
When October's end occurs and we decorate our home,
We'll want our Saviour helping, so He will set the tone.
Our Lord Jesus will be welcome at the party that we have,
How lovely it will be for our friends to all be glad.
When October's end takes place, with loving angels all around,
Enjoying every minute, guarding as their bound.
God will be our honoured guest and all His people too,
Then 'twill surely be like heaven, so beautiful, so good.

~ On October Thirty First ~
If the Lord is in our house, on October thirty first
Let's be sure He's really comfy, to smile and easily converse
Shall we welcome Him so warmly to join in any fun
Enjoying only light and laughter in everything that's done
We'll want Him to come and bless us and really feel at home
Just as if He was in heaven, so He won't feel all alone
'Cause if He's close here with us in every visit, every place
Then He'll love the pretty decorations And see beauty on each face
If heaven's life is right inside us, then all we make down here
Will be just the same as there Forsaking every fear
If in October and every day Jesus is number One
Then His smile will be upon us For we sure need His love

~ October Joy ~
Our Autumn joy is made complete. in all that Jesus is
October overflows, with heaven's purest bliss
Of red and golden brown and beauty tumbling down
Colour twirling at our feet, falling here upon
In awesome wonder we applaud and burst with joyful song
How pretty is October's breeze, swirling rusty leaves
Bringing us His tender love, each day aglow with grace
Heaven's perfect bliss has come to carry us away
With bird song on the wind, and bright leaves pretty wings
Of wild October beauty, to bless our tender hearts
Our hands upheld in joyful praise, to receive all God imparts

I love October, for it's exciting.
It's pumpkins in bins, burrs on dog's chins.
It's wind blowing leaves, chilly red knees.
It's nuts on the ground, a crispy dry sound.
It's green leaves turning and the smell of them burning.
It's clouds in the sky, it's autumn, that's all...
I always love fall.

~ I Think I'll Be A Buggy Bear ~
I think I'll be a buggy bear and hide in pretty leaves,
Creep among the flower buds, camouflaged in ruby red, unseen.
Immersed in sweet perfume, I'll chat with inching worms,
Giggle soft, when birds fly by and sleep in golden blooms.
I won't wake up to mysteries of earth and all mankind,
Nor fear the storms or darkness, weakness at any time.
I'll live within the canopy of childlike innocence,
Where all seems safe and ordered, no thoughts of cold duress.
Oh, I'll think I am in heaven, a garden's glorious dream,
I'll think I've died and gone to Jesus, with you right here with me.
Oh, but we are there, right now, in sweet and sure repose,
Believing our dear God who said, that He is on the throne.
We're already safe in Jesus, Who died to make us pure,
Breathing in God's lovely garden, in Him we are secure.
We can just relax, rest back, about the struggles and the pain,
Live only in His Spirit world, where love is all arranged.
Our hearts forever flying free, to soar within this sphere,
Warmly covered by His Sonshine,
Protected from all fear.

I do not ask that He must prove, His Word is true to me,
And that before I can believe, He first must let me see.
It is enough for me to know, 'tis true because He says 'tis so;
On His unchanging Word I'll stand
And trust till I can understand.

~ Chimney Sweeps ~
Two grubby tykes rapped on the door and sought to march within,
I looked them up and down, dismayed- What dirt you're sure to bring.
Oh, please they pled, just for a while, we wouldn't harm a flea,
Just let us come and be your friend- With you, we'd like to be.
Don't worry none 'bout our marks, the dirt won't stay to see,
No need to think us messy tykes- For we bring all you need.
Variety, surprise and charm, Yes, only fun we'll have,
Do, let us stay, we'll bring you much- We're not a passing fad.
We'll party, eat and celebrate Drive, holiday and dance,
And all the neighbours all around- Will wish for such a chance.
What hope had I, to answer back or find a quick retort,
When all those things I craved - then some- so, I swept wide the door.
They upped their sweepers, waltzed inside, with everything they had,
It seemed so true, the dust appeared- To not be all that bad.
Their footprints made my floor as art, new patterned swirly grime,
Paint filled brooms then branded walls- they said that it was fine.
Quite soon they settled, blended in With all the fun they brought,
We played and laughed in music loud- Their gaiety I caught.
I was so chuffed at how it was, a grander life seemed mine,
New glitter came, my days were full- as dizzy heights I climbed.
The careless moments ebbed and flowed, to clean, was not the thing,
For life was very hectic now - Controlled by raucous din.
Then, in the whirl a friend stopped by - Asked why I lived like this,
In so much dust and grime and smog - How could I think it bliss.
I stopped and looked, and looked again - And wondered if 'twas true,
For the family sure was sad a lot - And much was quite askew.
But, altering seemed too hard for me - This lifestyle couldn't change,
I felt a sadness, all alone - With so much now ingrained.
Again they said, there's One can help - I only had to ask,
And He could take it all away - Give me a brand new start.
Well, that, I thought, was crazy talk, so, I took up my broom,
And swept and swept for years of days - With vigor, room to room.
But, then I turned and looked about, The dust just hadn't moved,
It all just settled back again - I needed help, I knew.
So, desperate, I called out. Please come and clean Lord, take it all away,
Clean up my life, my home, my heart, Your way - I need You now today.
And thus He came, led out the tykes, and all the mess they'd brought,
Showed me how to set things straight - That by His blood I'm bought.
Oh yes, He came, replaced the old with loveliness and light,
My Jesus came with mighty power - Transformed me with His life.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ,
(who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God)
cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,
so that we may serve the living God.
