For those suffering multiple allergies consider going paleo for a few mnths,
to get stomach flora balanced- as it works for those suffering illness.
The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook: bit.ly/autoimmunepaleo
Featuring over 110 recipes that are fully compliant with autoimmune protocol -
no grains, beans, legumes, dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, or nightshades.
It also includes two 4-week meal plans, shopping lists, tips and tricks, and other resources for those on the autoimmune protocol or an elimination diet. The book is helpful for those with multiple food allergies or sensitivities. It is full of inspirational photos and fully interactive. — with Craig Cherie Farrier.
Be aware that we do not really eat paleo,
because agriculture has bred our fruit n veg to be edible and less toxic-
eg broccoli and carrot in the wild were very different/bitter/fibrous to today.
We would need to eat 8 1/2 feet of sugarcane.- to get the sugar in a bottle of pop,
Our bodies cannot cope with the refined sugar from pop consumed in 20 mins.
That is why we need to consider eating foods as natural as possible, that's what paleo ideas do.
Keep in mind to eat 70% alkaline and 30% acid.

 Berry Quinoa Porridge
- from ‪#‎thermomix‬ cookbook (p141).
420g water and 100g white quinoa into mixing bowl
and cook 15-17 min/100C/Reverse/speed 2 or until quinoa is soft.
Scrape down sides of bowl. Add 100g mixed berries and 1 roughly-chopped peach (or pear).
Cook 2 min/100C/speed 2, then puree 15 sec/speed 6 or until desired consistency is achieved.
Serve with a sprinkle of  LSA, milk and a drizzle of maple syrup/raw honey if desired.
Stove top cooking
Quinoa cooks as 1 c quinoa to 3 cups water.
stir it often to make it creamier..cooking time is same, TIP- use a stone pan, they don't burn/stick.
Piglet summed it up nicely when he said
”When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,”
“what’s the first thing you say to yourself?”
“What’s for breakfast?” said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?”
“I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today,” said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. “It’s the same thing,” he said.

‎"Did you know?
Eggs are high in choline which is a brain nutrient and also assists in detoxification - crucial to fat loss.
Eat up! Today I'm having a spinach, artichoke, tomato, cheese omelette,
good to get some veggies in early."
Or simply cook eg  chopped sweet potato, onion, carrots, spinach, kale in coconut oil,
add eggs and keep the lid on the pan- delicious.
Cook eggs softly, they are not easy to digest if cooked til hard.

People-who-eat-breakfast-are-smarter-and-skinnier
Eating a good breakfast will make you a better, more efficient thinker during the day.
And it’s not just about increasing your brainpower.
Eating breakfast makes you healthier.
Your brain needs nutrients to function.

People who don’t eat breakfast consistently eat food that is worse for them the rest of the day.
You might think that skipping a meal will make you skinnier and healthier. But you’d be wrong.
You make up for those lost calories later--and then blast right past them.

It's well worth noting that choice of breakfast food may play a significant role in decreasing or heightening sensations of hunger afterward, which will affect your overall calorie intake for the day –
not to mention how foods can alter your metabolic functioning,
and either for the benefit or detriment to your weight loss.
For example, eating carbohydrates for breakfast will inhibit your sympathetic nervous system (SNS)
and reduce the fat burning effect of your exercise.
Instead, it activates your parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS), which promotes storage of fat –
the complete opposite of what you're aiming for.
Avoiding fructose and other grain carbohydrates is a critical element of a successful weight loss strategy.
This includes sports or energy drinks and fruit juices (even if they're freshly squeezed).
So eat protein and veg for breakfast.
Consume sufficient amounts of protein in order to prevent muscle wasting.
cut out the sugars and carbs it is wise to replace them with high quality non-processed fats.
Some of my favorites include: Organic grass-fed raw butter
  • Eggs, Coconut oil, Avocados, Almonds
  • Ohsnapletseat.com/simple-and-healthy-baked-eggs-in-avocado
There's very compelling evidence showing that calories from healthy fats
are far more beneficial for your health than calories from carbohydrates.
And fear not... It's already been well established that stearic acid (found in cocoa and animal fat)
has no effect on distorting your healthy cholesterol ratios at all,
and actually gets converted in your liver into the monounsaturated fat called oleic acid.

The other two, palmitic and lauric acid, do raise total cholesterol.
However, since they raise "good" cholesterol as much or more than "bad" cholesterol,
you're still actually lowering your risk of heart disease. And there are additional benefits.
Lauric acid (as from coconut oil) has been shown to boost thyroid hormone activity
along with your body's metabolic rate.
This is obviously a huge advantage to those interested in weight loss
or those who suffer from an underactive thyroid.

I couldn't encourage you more to implement this program.
It has radically improved my personal confidence in using diet choices
to achieve high level wellness and optimal body fat.
Cutting down on grains and sugars,
replacing them with high quality fats and skipping some meals,
especially before exercise, seem to be a powerful combination to help control  well-being.

We need to go back to the old fashioned porridge-
oats / quinoa -should be soaked overnight to get rid of the anti-nutrients
which are normally neutralized in the sprouting process.
Soaking will neutralize the tannins, complex proteins,
enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid which preserve the grains.
Soak grains eg teff, quinoa, oats, buckwheat
in warm water with 1 tablespoon- acidic food like whey, yoghurt, lemon juice or vinegar.
The next morning, it cooks in about a minute.
Eat with butter or cream, coconut and chopped nuts like our grandparents did.
The nutrients in the fats are needed to absorb the nutrients in the grains.
That was one of the great lessons of Weston Price,
that without the fats you can be taking mineral supplements,
or drinking carrot juice, but you cannot absorb the minerals in food
without vitamin A and vitamin D that are exclusively found in the animal fats.
Avoid bought orange juice also

Protein/fats with breakfast help in weight loss
Before breakfast is the best time to exercise for weight loss.
Healthy cereals
If you would like to avoid extruded grains and still enjoy cereal for breakfast.
Here are two healthier alternatives.
  1. Soaked, whole grains of your choice. Soaking overnight with liquid whey and water reduces anti-nutrients and makes the grains more digestible. Grains are high in starch and carbohydrates.
To reduce high blood sugar levels from grains,
  2. consume them with plenty of healthy fats such as
  3. coconut oil, pastured butter, raw milk, cream, nuts or seeds
and some protein like a side of pastured egg, GF sausage.
  4. Make your gluten-free, low carb cereal by combining coconut flakes, chia seeds,
sunflower seeds, almonds (soaked overnight with some sea salt)
and gogi berries in a bowl with raw cream and milk.
Give the chia seeds a few minutes to expand and soften.
This cereal is delicious and the nuts, seeds and fruit can be varied.
No one can argue that cold boxed cereal is convenient.
Similarly, no one can argue that poor health, illness,
and disease are very inconvenient (to say the least).

A Twist on the breakfast story
Having a late breakfast can help lose weight,
[exercising before breakfast also helps burn calories]
Eat in an 8 hour window ie after 10am and before 6pm
Give Intermittent Fasting a Try
Consider skipping breakfast, eat an early lunch and dinner
and make sure you stop eating three hours before you go to sleep,
so you’re eating within an 8-hour time frame every day.
In the 6-8 hours that you do eat, you want to have healthy protein,
minimize your carbs like pasta and bread and potatoes
and exchange them for HEALTHY fats
ie ghee / organic butter, eggs, avocado, coconut oil, raw olive oil and raw nuts.
[ie The type of fats the media tell you to avoid.]

This will help shift you to fat burning mode from carb burning mode.
Remember it takes a few weeks, and you have to do it gradually,
but once you succeed to switch to fat burning mode,
you will be easily able to fast for 18 hours and not feel hungry.
Your cravings for sugar will magically disappear and it will be much easier to achieve your ideal weight.
The other benefit that occurs is that you will radically improve the beneficial bacteria in your gut.
Why is this a good thing? Because supporting healthy gut bacteria, which actually outnumber your cells 10 to one—is one of the most important things you can do to improve your immune system so you won’t get sick,
or get coughs, colds and flus. You will sleep better, have more energy,
have increased mental clarity and concentrate better.
Essentially every aspect of your health will improve.
