"I think preparing food and feeding people brings nourishment not only to our bodies but to our spirits.
Feeding people is a way of loving them, in the same way that feeding ourselves
is a way of honoring our own createdness and fragility." ~~Shauna Niequist~~

  • NOTE do not anticipate new foods will taste/be like what you are used to, BUT do celebrate that there are so many wonderful healthy options to enjoy, PLUS allow time for tastes to adjust and develop the bodies acceptance of new taste and texture
Our bodies have been craving addictive substances that are not healthy,
we must train it to accept new delights'
If our liver is not used to processing good fats/oils, we can feel sick at first,
as the liver is flushing out old fats ie seed oils, that have clogged it.
Processed Seed oils ( that the western world has used for years now in margy etc etc) are all toxic as they are heat processed/damaged, so all they do is clog the liver,
So, if you think ccnut oil is making you feel unwell, then begin slowly with 1 ts of good oils like ccnut oil, cold pressed olive oil, macadamia oil and ghee  in baking and get the liver cleaned out, It may take time, but then the liver can cope with good fats.oils like ccnut oil. & organic nuts, Our bodies NEED good oil for the brain, organs, bones, nerves, digestion etc
+maybe its not the pure nuts, but the sprays etc we react to
Don't give up, you will adjust, you will come to look fwd to treating your body/cells with God's foods, ie unprocessed, natural, non toxic, So -look at a food and say yes I want that to be me,
OR uhuh, don't want that to be me, I want to be a healthy Mom, wife, grandma, sister, friend, I want healthy me, God made me beautiful, We can even eat such yummo icecreams, made with pure frozen fruit.

There's a simple/straight forward thing about food,
God made our bodies, and He made the right food that nourishes our well-being.

I like being creative with how to eat fruit n veg,
so for breakfast I can process
eg 2 carrots, 1/2 cucumber, 2 sm avocado, 1 can coconut milk,
2-3 small grannies, 1/2 celery stick, 2 T chia,
1 T natural honey, bananas, handful baby spinach, sweet potato.-
To make a choc smoothie/mousse - I add cacao pdr,
[sometimes I add protein eg maca, raw almonds]
I love it served with cubed apple, pineapple, mango, orange, banana, kiwi etc.

OR I cook -with lid on for 10 mins-2 eggs in ccnut oil,
with eg. grated sweet potato, zucchini, broccoli, brussels, spinach, cress, parsley, chives, mint etc.

Easy health TIP to remember - Avoid the 5 whites:
 1. Sugars (+ agave & refined/heated/processed honey)
2. Processed Dairy
3. Refined salt  (and artificial additives.)
4. Gluten/refined white flours,
5. Transfats/hydrogenated/heated oils (eg margy and seed oils )

GOOD TO EAT
1. Best sweeteners- coconut sugar, palm sugar, apple, banana, dates,
organic liquid stevia, glucodin for baking,
for other use- natural raw honey
[don't cook honey] carob or date molasses.
2. Use coconut milk/cream, almond/cashew milk, make rice milk, or buy raw/unprocessed milk.
3. Use Himalayan salt or natural grey damp celtic seasalt.
4. Use a variety of healthy gluten free flours,
coconut flour, sorghum, water-chestnut, millett, besan/chickpea, cassava,
teff, lupin, quinoa, dal, potato flour, buckwheat -(not gluten)
5. Use only coldpressed organic Coconut oil or ghee, or animal fats eg tallow for baking
and coldpressed olive oil for salads. - never consume hydrogenated oil/margarine
which is in bought baked goods/chips, crackers, breads etc

Jesus is our Saviour
He guides us in our health,
And when it fails, as fail it will, He holds us to Himself.
He is the needed comfort, and the inner peace,
He heals our hurts and is our strength,
When heartaches never cease.
He will not reject us, nor leave us all alone,
But will grant to us our needs
And give our hearts a home.
As we pray to Him for wisdom, we will our body feed-
The foods He made designed for us
To meet our body's need.
This may mean a different lifestyle, from others where we are,
But, as we seek His way,
He'll speak unto our heart.
Then lead us what to buy, prepare.
Yes, step by step He'll show us
If we always seek His care.

Inflammation is known to be the core of almost every disease and disorder.
For those living with autoimmune conditions inflammation is especially common
and can affect our ability to function day to day.
For some chronic inflammation in the body is very debilitating.

Causes of Inflammation in the Body
Learning what causes inflammation and how to support the body in lowering it
can make a significant difference in overall health.
These following 8 lifestyle choices can cause chronic inflammation.
Take the time to learn your body to gain understanding of your own triggers.

Common Triggers of Inflammation:
  • Food Intolerances; Gluten, Dairy and Soy being the most common
  • Excessive Sugar consumption (Soda pop is not your friend!)
  • Over consumption of processed foods and highly refined oils
  • Chronic Stress and lack of sleep
  • Vitamin Deficiencies
  • Non-organic meat and dairy
  • Smoking and Alcohol Consumption
Eating a clean HEALTHY balanced diet-avoiding the 5 whites-
is the first step in aiding inflammation reduction.
There are even certain foods for reducing inflammation
such as fruits and vegetables and food rich in Omega-3.

The following supplements and herbs can assist in reducing inflammation.
  • Vitamin D: Those with autoimmune disorders tend to be chronically low in vitamin D.
  • Omega 3 Fatty Acids.  (Fish Oil)
  • A balanced multivitamin.
  • Glutathione Recycler – an immune system balancer- shields against inflammation.
  • Turmeric: contains more than two dozen ant-inflammatory compounds.
  • Ginger: powerful anti-inflammatory especially effective in relieving joint pain.
  • Aloe Vera juice
  • Peppermint oil
  • Probiotics: the gastrointestinal tract is a prominent part of the immune system.
  • An overgrowth of bacteria, fungus can cause chronic inflammation.
  • Keeping a healthy balance of stomach flora supports overall health.
Reducing inflammation will not only improve your day to day health,
but also help protect against future issues.

Note-Don't be lulled into thinking we can transform ourselves merely by,
feeling better about self, blanking past hurts, playing new music in our mind

or by eating organic foods.
We will not live forever by eating organic, our body will still age and die.
Just eating good food will not make us new in our soul and spirit,
nor make us forget past hurt.
Only God makes our hearts new/heals our broken heart.
We need to be IN the Lord Jesus, so our spirit is safe for eternity

We can only be suited to/fit in/enter His heaven, IF The Lord Jesus lives in us -
(ie after we have asked Him to cover our sin by His blood/cross
He will then carry our spirit home.
Once we know God, He can give us the power to choose how to eat His foods,
so our body/mind receives the nutrition to function as He made it to.

Dear God,
I thank You for Your care, You've been right with me everywhere,
You're by my side, My special Friend, my loving Guide.
And when the sun has said goodbye, and little stars shine in the sky
You're still with me, not far above.

Right in my heart, for You are Love.

Raw Vegetables – Raw vegetables contain enzymes, antioxidants, protein, natural sugars, vitamin,s and minerals, which in turn provide the body with the living nutrients God designed our living bodies to run on. Raw vegetables are the primary and most abundant foods found in The Hallelujah Diet

A large, raw vegetable salad is the main course of the evening meal each day, followed by a cooked vegetable.
A raw vegetable salad may also be consumed for the noon meal.
Raw vegetable juices make up a significant and vital part of The Hallelujah Diet.

Raw Fruit – Raw fruit contains enzymes, protein, natural sugars, vitamins, and minerals, which provide nutrients and fuel for the physical body. But we must be careful to not consume too much of today’s fruit.

Much of the fruit today is grown without a full complement of nutrients being available to it in the soil and is usually picked long before it is ripe.
This produces a product that we must be very careful about consuming too much of.

But we do recommend some fruit in green smoothies — a green smoothie with leafy greens and frozen fruit is great for breakfast!

Hallelujah Acres recommends that no more than 15% of the total volume of one’s daily diet should consist of fruit. If a person is experiencing diabetes, hypoglycemia, or yeast problems,
it would be best to not consume fruit until the problem is resolved.

Raw Seeds And Nuts – Raw seeds and nuts are very high in protein and fats. They are also difficult for the body to digest and should not be consumed in large quantities. If they are going to be consumed it is best to soak them in distilled water overnight prior to consuming
to help break down the enzyme inhibitors to make them more digestible.

Cooked Foods – The Hallelujah Diet suggests that 15% of one’s daily vegetable intake be in cooked form.
Though all raw sounds like it should be the ideal, we have learned from personal experience
and the testimonies of thousands of people that all raw does not provide the best results.

Some people become too skinny on all raw; while others find it difficult to chew enough veggies to obtain enough calories. If enough calories are not consumed, there is a great risk of becoming underweight,
having insufficient body energy, and even a deficiency in protein.

To make sure there is not a lack of calories, baked sweet potatoes, steamed vegetables,
brown rice, whole grains, baked squash and beans are suggested following a large salad.

Exercise – No matter how good the diet a person consumes, without vigorous, daily, physical exercise,
a person will never experience the ultimate health God designed for them. Any diet that omits daily vigorous exercise also falls short of top rung position on our diet evaluation ladder.

Hallelujah Acres recommends that every person who adopts The Hallelujah Diet, if they are able, begin a daily walking program. Beginning with a slow walk and building up speed until a 15-minute mile is obtained.
Goal is 2 miles in 30 minutes daily.
Adding stretching and resistance exercises should also be included as a person is able to perform them.
