~ What Was The Name ~
I look
And I am entranced
He whispers a name
'Beauty'
I know He is
I lose myself in the sweetness, watching the sparkle
I cannot but ponder on the loveliness
soft and fair, oblivious somehow
I draw closer to hear the silence
As I hear Him whisper a name-
I look
And I am entranced
He whispers a name
'Beauty'
I know He is
I lose myself in the sweetness, watching the sparkle
I cannot but ponder on the loveliness
soft and fair, oblivious somehow
I draw closer to hear the silence
As I hear Him whisper a name-
'Dream'
Of golden mystery
And I drift away into the splendour, as another world comes to be-
His smile a hidden secret
tranquil and serene....I draw closer
and enjoy the solitude
As He whispers a name-
Of golden mystery
And I drift away into the splendour, as another world comes to be-
His smile a hidden secret
tranquil and serene....I draw closer
and enjoy the solitude
As He whispers a name-
'Journey'
and I travel with Him
Far away to unknown places, I see treasure high and low
I find depths, unexplained
I fly on, mesmerised in the wonder
I keep His flight within my soul
as He whispers a name-
and I travel with Him
Far away to unknown places, I see treasure high and low
I find depths, unexplained
I fly on, mesmerised in the wonder
I keep His flight within my soul
as He whispers a name-
'Miracle'
And I am carried into unknown realms
Heavenly places, where hurts are healed by grace divine
And I come to know a love
In the giving of the blessed One
For in Him, I see the truth, of purest light
The reality of the Creator
His everlasting life.

To a Butterfly Much converse do I find in thee,
Historian of my infancy! Float near me; do not yet depart!
Dead times revive in thee: Thou bring'st, gay creature as thou art!
A solemn, yet uplifting image to my heart.
William Wordsworth
The butterfly is a flying flower, The flower a tethered butterfly.

Love is like a butterfly, hold it too tight, it'll crush, hold it too loose, it'll fly

Everyone is like a butterfly, they start out ugly and awkward
and then morph into beautiful graceful butterflies that everyone loves.

I'd be a butterfly, born in a bower,
Where roses and lilies and violets meet.
- Thomas Haynes Bayly
Butterflies are the dream of life. You can chase a butterfly all over the field and never catch it,But if you sit quietly in the grass it will come and sit on your shoulder.

With the rose the butterfly's deep in love, A thousand times hovering round;
But round himself, all tender like gold,
The sun's sweet ray is hovering found.

~ A Tiny Butterfly Kiss ~
Softly, softly a surprise is coming Floating in the mist, Creep up very slowly Or the whispers you may miss. Just a little secret tickle, there, warm upon your cheek, Close your eyes, no looking, uhuh, you mustn't peek. There, now did you feel it, that tiny tingle touch, I blew butterfly kisses to your heart 'Cause I miss you very much. Soft Whispers to you from Derry's Heart Poems © 2005 heartwhispers "Just when I was feeling a bit lonesome, along came you." ~ Look A Butterfly ~
Your life is calm, serene at peace I see the Lord in you, your heart content, through every test. The Father's love in you is true Your eyes are kind, your lips e'er set To sweetly smile in Jesus' rest. Your brow un-lined, no worry there But trust the Father knows 'tis best Your ears attuned, to other's needs To move within His perfect will As God's great goodness you receive Your hands He bids for service still. You are so special, sweet and calm, No wonder butterflies would come.... For your dear Heavenly Father Has filled your heart with love. You sat there, just a click away And viewed the same as I We connected here, through the screen Hearts unseen to fly. You typed there at your keyboard, as did I today Our way to reach each other With all we want to say. You pressed upon each letter with the sweetness of your heart And as I replied we knew Of all we could impart. From within your loving soul, you shared all that you felt Like an envelope of old A treasure to be held. This screen the wondrous window that brings God's gifts to me And sends a butterfly kiss To alight so softly on your cheek Soft Whispers from Derry's Heart Poems © 2005 heartwhispers ~Two Pretty Butterflies~
Two pretty little butterflies Flutter by in happy play And such engaging friendship They show in every way. Two pretty little butterflies On wings of joyful flight Abandonment, pure freedom The sunshine their delight. ~ Special Flight Insight ~
A caterpillar came crawling, creep, creep across a leaf His movement very measured, his whole life underneath, Acceptance reigned supreme this his only role, Little legs to hump along, tiny teeth to chew a hole. His progress may seem very slow, and achievement may not show. Requiring hidden camouflage From swooping birds at large. He does not fly or laugh or play; His thoughts the same, most every day. To a simple life he does adapt. Though his life would seem a handicap He has no wings, he dreams no dreams , He has no height, he craves no light, Don't lift me up......why should I fly, Leave me alone, don't ask me why. To be lifted high, is to be unreal,
I see in inches, I know to feel. I like my security, what's known to me, Surely with my eyes, is all to see. I don't know iridescent colour that flying wings could be, I only know the cumbersome grind, I suffer constantly. What use have I of nectar sweet, when leaf juice here is all I eat, To remain the same, is my decide, I like this safety, I can hide. You tell me a story, that there's more than what is in my sight .... what else could be in store I have no wings, no free fall flight, I want what's real, my only light. A transformation's not for me, I can't cope with mystery And unknown things I cannot see But...if.....I muse about new life
and being 'born anew', Is it only for a chosen few. To see unseen, must be some view, A whole different world for me, be true. It would be a miracle, to give me wings to set me free so I could fly and fly and fly and fly Eternally Derry's Heart Poems © 2005 heartwhispers |
Listen, I tell you a mystery:
We will not all sleep,
but we will all be changed- in a flash,
in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised
imperishable and we will be changed.
Where, O death is your victory?
Where, O death is your sting
1 Corinthians 15:51-53,55
~ Love Like A Butterfly ~
Today I want to send some love like a butterfly in flight words of life and memories, messages of light. So many things happen day by day Changes, but we shall not, we belong our friendship remains as it always will every day, growing strong. I ponder about how much you mean to me each day All that we share and send like a butterfly, our care Flies back and forth, set adrift as it pleases, every day we live in love's perfect gift, flitting about, landing as we go on various delights to give. Being together, inspiring one another our closeness valued Talking things over, building bridges of friendship, dreaming castles in the air... So glad to have you to encourage me, as I will always do for you, to help you through any joy or sorrow Being there, being true. We can depend on each other, for the love we own is of heaven, That's how we know, it can never end in all our tomorrows as in our todays and every little moment near or far You will always be, my forever friend. ~ Come Fly Pretty Butterfly ~
Come, pretty little butterfly Sweet friend of field and sky Let's fly together, you and I To all there is to find. Oh, pretty, pretty butterfly Come fly away with me Leave all that mystifies Together we will be. Fly, fly, little butterfly Let's spread our wings today Touch all we're made to see Our Lord will lead the way. Believe, fly high with me His love our flight of life Come fly, in sheer delight, you and I In everlasting light. ~ Little Miraculous Moments ~
Little moments are made to perfection
For being glad.... a little fling... rising deep within
A sudden resting, in the present, then, like a momentary flash,
begins the disappearance (dispelling every shadow)
Banishing the din... Immersing in momentous joy-
Hearing music on the wind , being glad in God we live
rejuvenated in His love - our spirit's sing...
smiling secrets, and from the loveliness we've seen
our hearts flutter, softly, gather strength
then upon the pretty breeze take wing...
Oh I wish for you today every lovely little moment
your heart could ever need.

When a gauzy, purple butterfly,
Softly tilts a golden flower,
It's cool wings ease the summer flame
As laughter soothes a troubled hour.

~ Daisy Fae Li'l Butterfly ~
Your lovely li'l heart pops in, special like to me, e'en though your face I cannot see So at home we are on here, just how we like to be. Your angel hand is one, I have never held, but your voice, I know so well As your sweet n' tender soul flies in how sweetly I can tell. You live so far, I cannot ever hope to fly to see your twinkly eyes But, heart to heart, your love comes flitting in just like a lovely li'l butterfly.. Right to this heart of mine. Soft butterfly kiss whispers from Derry's Heart Poems © 2007 heartwhispers All you need do is call my name and I will be there in your garden with you ~Millie~ Like the butterfly, I have the strength and the hope to believe In time , I will emerge from my cocoon... ~ Bees and Butterflies ~
Lord, help me to be small again Sweet as an innocent child, Down on the level of the swaying flowers With their gentle smile. Give me of your loving grace To find joy in the teeny weeny tasks, The small, the menial, the unseen Whatever is required of my heart. Give me the humble wisdom to accept Whatever comes my way, As sent only from Your loving hand For all I'll learn today. The sharp stings I encounter Might be just my goals being blocked, Help me to rest and bloom sweet as a flower Even in a battered wind-blown spot. For whatever shall rain on my heart May compassion grow deeper within, To bring out in the stinging pain Gifts of Your fragrance, pure and sweet. Then when You call, I will fly, fly fly Shed my cocoon, as a wondrous butterfly, One day open my wings and just fly away Some day way up in the sky... When we have done all the work we were sent to do,
we are allowed to shed our bodies, which imprisons our soul
like a cocoon encloses the butterfly and when the time is right we can let go of it.
Then we will be free of pain, free of fears and free of worries--
free as a beautiful butterfly returning home to God....
Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked pensively.
"You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."

~ You Are An Iron Butterfly ~ ~ Love Is Fluttering You Home ~
You are sweet as softest dewdrops,
yet intrepidly strong To follow as one drawn, to know where you belong, Your tender soul lion-hearted, in loveliness of grace, Your life a gentle force, with winsomeness of face. You are an iron butterfly, of azure delight Knowing how to walk, yet soar on unknown height. If grief may over-whelm, you fall upon your knees Beseeching the Lion of Judah, For peace to quell your need. When spirits are suffering sore, you weep long for their woe And when they need a little more, You seek just what to know. For you are an iron butterfly, where might and beauty meet God's spirit lives within you. Your heart is thus complete. Soft Whispers for you from Derry's Heart Poems © 2005 heartwhispers |
And if you were lonely, then here you will find The warmth, the compassion and soft gentle eyes, The kindest of thoughts and most tender sighs. Here is the joy to soar upon roses and fly for your life no more to part from fulfillment of mind and sweet peace of heart. No more to search or long more to know Someone to love or some hand to hold Some special smile and twinkle of face to see every mile, for here is delight the sunshine is thine. Oh yes, there is love none other could give The Lord Jesus is here and you are all His, Now not alone Love is fluttering you home you are more than precious- forever, you live. A Butterfly Lights Beside Us
A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam...and for a brief moment it's glory
and beauty belong to our world...but then it flies on again, and although
we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all.
