Another year I enter
Its history unknown; Oh, how my feet would tremble To tread its paths alone! But I have heard a whisper, I know I shall be blest; "My presence shall go with thee, And I will give thee rest." I was made weak, so I would then believe. I asked for health, to do what always wins; I was given infirmity, to do eternal things. by Alfred, Lord Tennyson Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, The flying cloud, the frosty light: The year is dying in the night; Ring out, wild bells, and let him die. Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true. Ring out the grief that saps the mind For those that here we see no more; Ring out the feud of rich and poor, Ring in redress to all mankind. Ring out a slowly dying cause, And ancient forms of party strife; Ring in the nobler modes of life, With sweeter manners, purer laws. Ring out the want, the care, the sin, The faithless coldness of the times; Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes But ring the fuller minstrel in. Ring out false pride in place and blood, The civic slander and the spite; Ring in the love of truth and right, Ring in the common love of good. Ring out old shapes of foul disease; Ring out the narrowing lust of gold; Ring out the thousand wars of old, Ring in the thousand years of peace. Ring in the valiant man and free, The larger heart, the kindlier hand; Ring out the darkness of the land, Ring in the love that is to be. by Alfred, Lord Tennyson 1850 |

Hopeforthebrokenhearted
prayer-for-New years eve -December-31st Dear Lord, We thank you for today. As we say goodbye to the past year, we think about our blessings and all that you have brought us through this year and we thank you. We know that for many, it has been a hard year with many losses and many struggles. We thank you that you have been with us in the good times and the bad... when we could feel you and even when we couldn't. We know that you promise to never leave our side and we thank you that we can count on you and your promises, Lord. You are our faithful Father and we would be so lost without you Lord. You tell us in your word, that we should share in your sufferings and Lord I know many here are doing that now. Lord God, we ask that you will help everyone to feel and know, that you see their pain. You know their every need and their every desire. We ask that just as Jesus knew what victory and glory was coming after all He endured, may each one here remember that suffering lasts only for a short while, but joy is coming. Your death was not in vain. You died to set us free and to give us hope. Lord, help us to remember that our reward is not just joy and happiness after grief and trials have ended... but our reward is YOU... you were with us yesterday, you'll be with us tomorrow and you'll be with us forever. Thank you Lord!! You don't want to just protect us or bless us, but you want to give us more of you. You are our great reward. May that fill each of us, with peace and comfort and hope Lord. I know for many Lord, New Year's Eve is a time of sadness... a time where many feel alone and feel regret and sorrow. Lord, we pray for those who are feeling any of those things today and we ask that you would shower them with your peace and comfort. May they feel your presence and know that you are with them. Help them to look ahead to the hope that awaits each of us...better days are coming. We have so much to look forward to. This earth and its sorrows and trials is for such a short time, compared to our joyful eternity which will last forever. Being in your presence will be our eternal reward and we will forget all the pain of this world. Help us not look behind...help us not to look to our fears, our regrets, our feelings of failure or things we wish we had done differently. Help us not feel like everyone else has it together and we are all alone in our pain. Please hold closely Lord, those who feel alone today and may they be filled to overflowing with your love. Go before us this day Lord and stir within us a desire for you like we've never known. Change us and mold us and help us to see ourselves and our lives through your eyes. Please rain down your mercy and grace on each one. In Jesus name, Amen Wishing you all a safe, blessed New Year's Eve! Blessings, hugs and love to you, Debbie |

Hope For The Broken Hearted
New Year prayer Dear Gracious Heavenly Father, We thank you for this new day...the first day of a new year. We thank you for new beginnings and the hope they offer. We thank you for all that you have seen us through in this last year. We thank you for being our strength, our deliverer and the one who renews and restores us. We know that you are not done with us yet, that is why we are still here. We ask for each one praying, that we will feel our worth in your eyes and know that we have a purpose and that you have a good plan for each of our lives. Lord, we come before you and we give ourselves to you. We ask that you would lead and guide us in all that we say and do in the days ahead. We ask that you would continue the healing work that you have begun in all of us. We pray that you will continue to walk beside us and be all that we need. For those who are in pain physically, emotionally or mentally, we ask for your continued healing. We ask for your comfort and the strength to carry on during the difficult days. We ask that people would be set free from the things that tie them down and hold them back. Free them from their pasts, their hurtful memories, their anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, pride and all self-injuring and self-defeating thoughts and actions. May this be the year that we truly live and experience your overcoming power in our lives. We ask that you would help us to be valiant, brave warriors in the battles we will encounter. May we always remember, it's not by our might or power, but by yours that we overcome. We ask for your help to engrave your words of truth, on the tablets of our hearts. May we hear your voice above all others. May we trust your word instead of things we might see or feel. May we keep a heavenly perspective in all that we do and may we never grow so impatient that we settle for less than your best for us. Make us men and women after your own heart Lord. We commit our families, our lives and our needs to you Lord. We know you are faithful to meet our needs and you promise to provide, so we stand on your promises and take you at your word. We know that you love those that we hold dear. You love them even more than we do and we ask that the eyes and hearts of those that don't know you, will open, so they may receive your saving grace. We ask Lord that you help us all to grow in your love and to share that love first, with those closest to us and then to everyone else we meet. May the world see you in us and be drawn to you Lord. Lord, we pray for our countries and our leaders. Things are a mess and we pray for those in leadership that are Christ followers... please give them fearless, bold hearts of courage to loudly make a stand for you. We pray that our leaders will come to know you, in a real and life changing ways and then may they seek to serve you in the roles that you've given them. Lord, please use us all to be lights in the darkness that point the way to you. Our hope is not in man, or our leaders or governments. Our hope lies in you alone. Lord, a new year is a chance at new beginnings and renewed hope. A time to leave the old behind. Help us to dream big and not put you in a box. You are a big God. Much bigger than anything we will ever face. We seek to know you more Lord. We seek to experience all that you have for us. We long to live in the fullness of your joy and love. Help us to rise from the ashes. We long to see the beauty you will bring from those ashes. Lead us from the dark valleys into your glorious light. We look forward to all you have for us in this coming year Lord. We love you Lord. We are grateful for you and for all you've given us. We look forward with eager anticipation for all that you will do in us, though us and for us this year. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Praying God's richest blessings for you all! You are loved! Shall I not willingly offend,
Nor be easily offended; And what's amiss can I strive to mend, then endure what can't be mended? Isaac Watts, "Good Resolutions" RESOLUTIONS So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" John 21:15 Jesus has a wonderful way of restoring us when we fail Him! He does not humiliate us. He does not criticize us. He does not ask us to make a resolution to try harder. Rather, He takes us aside and asks us to reaffirm our love for Him. Peter miserably failed his Lord when he fled with the other disciples from the Garden of Gethsemane. Later, he publicly denied that he even knew Jesus. Peter must have wondered if he had been capable of being Jesus’ disciple when he was unfaithful to Jesus in His most crucial hour. As we begin a new year, we may be painfully aware that we fail in many ways. Perhaps not being faithful. Perhaps disobeying His word. Perhaps denying Him by the way we live. Jesus takes us aside, as He did Peter. He will not berate. He will not humiliate He will examine our love for Him. He asked Peter, “Do you love Me?” If our answer, like Peter’s, is “Yes, Lord,” He will reaffirm His will for us. If we truly love Him, we will obey Him (John 14:15). Jesus does not need our resolutions, our re-commitments, or our promises to try harder this year. If our resolve to obey God last year did not help us to be faithful, it will not make us successful this year. Jesus asks for our love. If we truly love Him, our walk with Him in the new year will be as He would love. Blackaby Ministries |

A New Year’s Benediction
May the coming year be one of increased riches of grace—hearing His voice more clearly, knowing His heart more deeply, resting in His love more fully, trusting His care more completely, walking His pathway more peacefully, knowing His presence more intimately, blessed by His goodness more abundantly. And in all things, may you know the shalom peace of God—encouraging you to move forward, empowering you to boldly take each step, greeting you as you turn a new corner, calming your heartbeat as you walk through dark valleys, softening each footstep as you climb rugged mountains, and increasing your courage as you follow your Shepherd wherever He leads.
