Vitamins and minerals
It is not the best plan to gain nutrients from artificial supplements, as they do not assimilate well.
It is wiser to seek nutrition from the foods God made,
But, with food now grown in poor soils, quickly with artificial fertilizers, held too long in cold storage
and in transit- we are not obtaining good nutrition.
So we need to think more creatively to also obtain nutrients from a variety of sources and from superfoods,
that are not grown commercially
Daily plan a good regime.
eg Lemon juice first in the morning,
Breakfast -cook veg and egg in coconut oil.
Lunch- Make brone broth with veg
Dinner - make stir-fries or bake veg on trays and eat with fish.
Daily probiotic eg from capsules or from fermented veg eg sauerkraut, or Miso-fermented rice.
Molasses,  honey, cacao, carob, maple syrup
Herbs-like parsley, chives, mint,
Spices- like turmeric, cinnamon,
Veg-green leafy collard, root veg, asparagus,
garlic, ginger,
Nuts and seeds like soaked brazil nuts, walnuts, almonds, sesame, sunflower, flaxseed
Fruits like berries, pawpaw, avocado, coconut,
Seaweed products, eg spirulina & chlorella.- the best detoxers.

Get into the sun, at least 20 mins a day, Do all you can to get Grandparents into the sun
Low Mg is of major concern for health and sleep
So often a client tells me they are constipated.
I look at the following areas:
1. Good gut health
2. Lack of magnesium
3. Eating enough fiber, fat and vegetables
4. Eating enough protein (plant or animal based)
OR is the THYROID not functioning as this can lead to constipation.
Make sure you are eliminating foods that may be wreaking havoc on your thyroid such as dairy and gluten.

Gwens-nest.com/magnesium-supplement-a-great-diy-recipe
  • 2 liter bottle of chilled soda water
  • ¼ c. of plain (unflavored) Milk of Magnesia
Instructions
  1. Measure the Milk of Magnesia into the lid it came with (4T=1/4 cup).
  2. Slowly pour the MoM into the chilled 2 liter soda bottle.
  3. Cap it, shake it, and return it to the fridge after use.
Notes
If you can’t find “Soda Water” that is suitable, then buy plain carbonated water.
Add ½ t. of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to the measured out Milk of Magnesia, and stir in.
It may fizz a little. Pour this mixture into the plain carbonated water.

take the magnesium first. Calcium without magnesium to balance it can flood the cells, washing things out of the cells. However, calcium is crucial for magnesium absorption, so the best thing to do is take twice as much magnesium as calcium, in close succession.
How to increase Mg in diet
Mindbodygreen/6-Powerful-Ways-to-Boost-Your-Magnesium-Levels
To get your levels up quickly, use at least five of these six simple techniques.
1. Eat Magnesium rich foods. The top ten foods sources highest in Magnesium are:
  1. Kelp, Almonds, Cashews,  Molasses, Buckwheat
  2. Brazil nuts, Dulse, Filberts, Millet, Pecans

It's important to soak nuts for twelve hours to activate them, then rinse them,
which releases enzyme inhibitors, phytic acid.
If nuts are not soaked, eating nuts may increase Magnesium levels but decrease Zinc levels,
which is also another essential mineral.

2. Take a top quality oral Magnesium supplement two times a day -
with either breakfast or lunch, and dinner.
The best kinds of Magnesium supplements that I recommend:
  • Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate
  • Liquid colloidal Magnesium
  • Magnesium Chloride
  • Magnesium Citrate

Visit my website to see which brands are the very best.
DO NOT TAKE Magnesium Oxide, because it forms a caustic Magnesium hydroxide in the body
that can burn the intestine walls, and anyway, it is VERY poorly absorbed.

3. Stop  doing things that waste Magnesium.
Things to avoid if you want to keep your Magnesium levels high:

  • 1. Gluten.
  • 2. Cooked foods - cooked foods can actually strip minerals from the body.
  • Instead, eat plenty of raw foods (nuts, seeds, vegetables).
  • 3. Alcohol
  • 4. Non-organic farmed “foods” from deficient soil with herbicides and pesticides can deplete Magnesium.
  • 5. Refined sugar, including corn syrup and artificial sweeteners.
  • 6. Prolonged stress - Magnesium will leech out quickly if the emotions aren't brought back into balance.
  • Relaxation will help with this.
  • 7. Cheap common table salt - replace it with good quality Himalayan crystal salt or Celtic Sea salt.
  • 8. Tap water that is laced with poisonous sodium fluoride - get a good water filter
  • 9. Refined stuff of any kind - including unfermented soy products.
  • 10. Regular and decaffeinated coffee or black tea

4. I recommend Magnesium oil, which is rubbed into the skin.
I have found that if you combine Magnesium rich foods with Magnesium supplements and a topical form,
it restores magnesium levels faster.
I recommend rubbing Magnesium oil on your feet before you go to bed,
especially if you have trouble falling asleep or your legs twitch at night..
cheeseslave.com/how-to-make-magnesium-oil

5. Make sure you get enough of these other nutrients to utilize,
absorb and keep Magnesium in your body:

  • Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin B6

6. There are some extremely good homeopathic Magnesium formulas that work excellently!
They work really well because they open up the cell receptor site where the Magnesium needs to enter.
If the Magnesium deficiency has been serious for a long time,
there is a chance the receptor site has shut down.
The homeopathic remedy Mag Phos can wake it up
to allow Magnesium to quickly absorb into cells again.
1. Mindbodygreen/6-Powerful-Ways-to-Boost-Your-Magnesium-Levels
2. Healthaliciousness/foods-high-in-magnesium
This one is excellent explains why and who
3. Ancient-minerals/magnesium-deficiency/10 signs to watch for if u need-more
Good sources of magnesium include nuts and seeds
such as peanuts, almonds and cashews, and flaxseeds, pepitas,
sesame seeds and wholegrains eg oats, millet, muesli and quinoa,
oat bran, green leafy vegetables and beans.
Cooking can destroy between 30 – 65% of the magnesium content
so raw nuts and seeds are the most effective way to boost magnesium in the diet.

Fibromyalgia is a medical term given to severe general malaise/aching
caused by digestive imbalance, metal toxity, vitamin/mineral deficiency
Edible Harmony
Recent evidence suggests that magnesium deficiency may be crucial in development of symptoms of fibromyalgia.
Magnesium is necessary in most biochemical processes, including ATP synthesis and subsequent cellular energy production. Mitochondrial uptake and accumulation of magnesium are directly related to the uptake of phosphate required for ADP phosphorylation. Of particular interest is that magnesium is necessary in aluminum detoxification in the body, and aluminum inhibits glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, resulting in decreased intramitochondrial ATP production. Additionally, due to its high affinity for phosphate groups, aluminum blocks the absorption and utilization of phosphates vital to the synthesis of ATP. Aluminum toxicity is known to cause metabolic disturbances and has been implicated in Alzheimer's disease, and detoxification is critical to keep the body and mind healthy. Researchers have found that in addition to adequate amounts of magnesium supplemented in the diet, malic acid supplementation may also be beneficial in improving the symptoms of aluminum toxicity and fibromyalgia

Also, irritable bowel syndrome, which is a smooth muscle dysfunction specifically in the gut causing diarrhea, cramps or dry constipation, has been implicated in fibromyalgia. IBS individuals report bloating and a feeling of fullness or stretching. Fibromyalgia patients frequently complain of GI disturbances, commonly caused by IBS. Proper nutrition and dietary supplementation is imperative in improving symptoms of IBS and fibromyalgia. Leaky gut syndrome is a condition that may cause IBS, and also needs to be addressed in the fibromyalgia patient. This syndrome is the erosion of the microvilli of the mucosal lining, allowing larger than normal molecules, such as proteins, to enter the bloodstream, causing fatigue and resulting muscular pain among other problems. Candida overgrowth is common in leaky gut syndrome, caused by various factors, including antibiotic use. The use of NSAIDs, aspirin and other acidic medications may also contribute to leaky gut syndrome. Correction of these problems is essential in treating the fibromyalgia patient.

Improvement of the underlying metabolic and physiological imbalances, including leaky gut syndrome, IBS and magnesium deficiency, is essential.

Fibromyalgia patients experience many of the same symptoms as those found with aluminum toxicity.
Therefore, detoxifying the body of this deadly metal is critical.

Combining magnesium and malic acid can effectively decrease the levels of aluminum in all vital organs,
especially the brain. A research study on 15 fibromyalgia patients found that after taking 1,200 to 2,400 mgs of malic acid with 30 to 600 mgs of magnesium daily, all 15 reported significant pain relief within 48 hours of treatment.
