~ Here Within God's Garden ~

I watched you in the garden
In pretty pastel hue,
In every tender leaf of dew,
I touch the life of you.
I saw you in the blossoms,
The tinge of pink and red,
Your vibrancy and color,
My special life long friend.

I saw you in the butterfly,
Flitting to and fro,
With happy carefree heart,
The angel friend I know.
I saw you in my puppy,
The loyalty and mind,
To always be so very near,
Gentle, loving, kind.
Picture
I saw you in the empty chair
Beside me in the sun,
I heard your softest whisper,
Your presence, only love.
I saw you in the flying birds
Their cheery, chatter, call
'Twas you close by to hear,
Singing to my soul.
I saw you in the roses
Each fragrant petal fold,
Yes, here within God's garden
Your heart I always hold.

~ The Flower Shoppe ~
As I wandered through the door
There went the tinkly bell
The lady smiled as I approached
What would you like, do tell...

So I began my choices
Of how it had to be
Arranging the perfect bouquet
To express the heart of me

A warm and gentle softness
Blending colour so divine
Some sparkles in a dewdrop
The sweetest fragrance you can find

It need not be the biggest
Or most expensive of them all
Just let it say, 'you're special'
Within each petal fold

It needs that heavenly touch
A slip or two of blue
Do add that pretty pastel pink
Oh, that is lovely too

Now I'll just tuck in a little kiss
For I want to say - Thank you

The petals of a bouquet glistening with dew
 A heartwarming gift
From my heart,

just for the heart of you

Having a true forever friend,
across the sky, inspires a lot of beauty
for we see by heart,
as God sees, you and I.

~ My Flower Waltz ~

As I meander along the garden path
I ponder flowers in my view,
They smile at me with angel faces sweetly
Reminding me of you.

Some blossom in the fresh delight of spring
And some in wintry days of fall,
Others glow in summer heat all special
With a unique rapport.

The vibrant orange of nasturtium
Profuse in summer show,
Proclaim that my world is a colorful garden
Blooming With everyone I know.

Growing softly in amongst the greenery
Is the pelargonium soft pink,
Displaying a throat of sweetest velvet a friend
Who engraves enduring heart imprint.

The gladioli burgeoning beautiful and strong
Blooming generously on every side,
Calling to me of those loving friends who reach
With arms extended wide.
Picture
Picture
Planted in little terracotta pots
Are the pansies, each so pretty cute,
Always there, soft and friendly warm and open
My heart they truly suit.

Snapdragons that snap, to make me laugh,
Sweet peas, graceful lilies and tulips bright
God's blessing of all I need His comfort
Of lasting delight.

The Morning glory each new sunrise
Greets me with a beloved smile
Entwining deep into my heart, forever
Close, through every trial.

I treasure the rose as a speciality
For it's rich loveliness to know,
Pungent fragrance emanating-meaningful
By the thorns that made it grow.

The daisy may seem common
With wholesome purity so fair,
Yet, so enhance a bouquet's palette
By the perfection that they share.

But the sentiment of calming peace
Is found in cherished blue columbine,
Unfolding soft and delicate, tender
Within this gentle heart of mine.

~ Friendship Flowers ~

Today I send these pretty flowers,
A symbol of my love,
Flowers, soft like velvet
Beauty quite enough.
Flowers, sweet and tender
Fragrant, so divine,
A gift from heaven's garden
Only for a special friend of mine.

~ Showers Of Flowers ~

Flowers to me, that's what you always are
Flowers to my heart, fragrant showers,
pretty buds, flowers on my path
May all we share bring flowers
to fall within your heart
Picture
May showers of flowers float forever
Falling on your path
Soft and pretty things all that you impart
Thank you for showering me
flowers always
To nestle in my heart

If only the scent of the rose was truly me,
you would feel so much of God's love;
your heart by now would be overflowing

~ You Are Not A Little Flower ~
My friend, you are not just a tiny bud
You are a whole bouquet
You are not just a little scent
But a never ending fragrance
wafting in from far away

You are not just a single bloom
That opens on the morn
You are a whole garden of delight
I see from every room
You are not just a little flower
Of a single tender hue

But a multi-colored, multi-layered beauty
Brushed by the love of God in you
You are not just any unseen blossom
Upon a lonely stem
You are a bower covering my heart
My very lovely friend

If A Flower I Gathered...

If I would pick a flower for you
I'd choose velvet ruby red,
For all the lovely things you do
For all the loving words you said.

If I found a flower you could keep
I'd surely gather soft pink,
For you are so very pretty
In all you feel and think.
Picture
If, I cut a flower for your heart
I'd single out a baby blue,
For all the gentleness you show
The tenderness of you.

When searching, flowers for your soul
I would select soft gold,
Because you are treasure,
A gift for me to hold.

If I wanted the prettiest flower
For you, I'd collect purest white,
Because you speak to me of God
Aglow with His beautiful light.

When I might pluck the flower
I'd like for you, always I would choose,
A glorious violet mauve,
So soft, your royal hue.

If, I might send you pretty flowers
Then for you, I'd pick a whole bouquet,
Every delightful shade,
to portray
Every sweet li'l thing
I want to say.

~ My Dream Garden ~

Long ago, oh way back when...
I had such a lovely dream,
 All about my Auntie's garden,
 things never as they seem.

Peering over her back fence...
a secret world came into view,
I opened wide a picket gate
 and tentatively stepped through.

My feet took me far away...
 over old mossy cobblestones,
I glanced this way and that
excited to be so all alone.

So I twirled and I danced...
 birds singing fancy free,
Squirrels bounced up to chirp hello,
fruit dangled ripe from every tree.

Picture
I spied the tinniest frog...
hopping with joy among the leaves,
 I followed his every wriggle
to his pond within the reeds.

Two white swans came drifting by...
 serene and pearly white,
I reached to stroke their pearly necks
oh, they flapped their wings in flight.

Honeysuckle curled around the arch...
with cute caterpillars to see,
 Dewdrops sparkled on the lilies
all of this put here for me.

The sun shone warm, on rosebud velvet...
 unfurling delicate hue,
 Fluffy clouds formed friendly shapes
I lay smiling, in soft azure blue.

Picture
I munched on golden gooseberries...
and sucked the morning glory,
Crawled within the cubby hedge
where I told ladybird her story.

Soft bunnies scrambled on my lap...
 butterfly kisses tickled my cheeks,
The fountain gushed with raspberry bubbles
in my paradise of delightful treats.

My softest friends and Jesus...
 were all that wanted me,
But then pop, my eyes awoke
another day was here to see.

I wished my dream could last for always...
such was its pure delight,
But now I visit my heavenly garden
every time I shut my eyes at night.

~ Garden Whispers ~

Have you heard the secret in life's garden
I hear it when I'm still
A whisper very sweet and low
My heart to warmly fill
I wish you were very close to hear

The mystery that I have found
But, if you go into your garden

You'll hear its' lovely sound
We hear it usually if we're hushed
Or when we're filled with tears
God breathes so we may know
In whispers very near
My Child I love you so

~ My Angel Garden ~

I have an angel garden
Where morning glory never fades,
And sweetest angels play there
In the pretty garden
My loving Father makes.

I want the lovely angels
To be welcome anytime,
So my garden shall be arranged
Where they'll be at home
Within this heart of mine.

Picture
So in my precious garden
I'll play music ever sweet,
I'll seek to be more thankful
And ask the Lord to guide me
As I follow in His feet.

Picture
Then in my lovely angel garden
Where the birds still softly call,
A myriad of angels play
And though unseen
Will stay to care for all.

For in a peaceful angel garden
God's angels love to linger near
Always gathered close
Protecting and comforting
To wipe away our tears.

~ Lush Garden Oasis ~
Quiet summer moments, dreamy days, to pause away from the hustle and bustle
Just to sit and ponder, in the solitude apart,
Where I so softly pray, gently with my Lord Jesus, for His peace to flood my soul.
Breathing Him in, exhaling His love, desiring to be whole.

Listening to all He may say, how He would have me be, filled with Himself
That His life shall flow forth, as a sweet healing stream,
His heart of precious secrets now opening, unfolding, unfurling
Exploding the more.
Oh, I so would like you to come, together to chat, and bubble over with joy
In my lush oasis, safe and warm.

taking increasing control as we are progressively willing

~My Peaceful Garden Of Friendship~

Friends are my garden, beautiful and rare
Roses of sweet fragrance, everywhere to share
Infinite gentleness,  nestling in my heart
Emanating color that showers on my path
Nourishing my soul, so weeds can never grow
Delicate little blossoms, opening up to know
Softness that cascades, down from the sky
Hope for ever after, in the pretty butterflies
Inbetween tucked buds, of variegated hue
Pretty are the memories, the loveliness of you.

Growing, oh so precious,  every passing day
Anticipating what we share, all along on the way
Reaching for a love, that shall never ever die
Desiring to know the wonder, of the garden in the sky Everlasting friends, that truly can not fade
Nurtured in the love, our Heavenly Father gave.

~ I Come To The Garden ~

To wander in the loveliness,
I come here with no other thought in view
Than to find my special friend
and spend some time with you

What more could we ever need,
for such a spendid time
Than this warm and cozy spot,
a favourite of yours and mine

There is the climbing sweet entwining rose,
exhuding fragrance so divine
A little path leading somewhere to explore,
unknown treasures there to find

An awesome lake, with views untold,
quite near for squirming toes
We'll wade right in, to jump the ripples
and make bubbles just to throw

Then, when we are all done,
we'll ache to find a comfy chair
To snuggle in the pretty cushions,
with lots of chat to share.

You'll pour the tea and I the milk, and sip,
while flowers we re-arrange

Sometimes we'll meander in the garden,
or just look, while leaning on the rail

Ah, such is the pleasant visit,
suiting us quite perfectly

Let's come here much more often now,
the favourite spot for you and me

It will still be here tomorrow,
places like this can never go away
We just have to imagine heaven
and our hearts are there to stay.

It is only if we pause to listen
We will never feel alone,
Hushed, quiet in the stillness
To hear the gentle tone.

Flowing in sweet harmony
Crescendo now aglow,
Beauty calling to our heart
A perfect love to know.

Deep within our spirit
Soft whispers in the night
God's loving arms are reaching near
To lift us to His light.

~ Garden of My Life ~

There's something missing in my garden
An imbalance on the shelf,
Could it have a little more interest
Does it represent myself.

I have the drought resistant
The prettiest knick-knacks on the bench,
An array of succulent beauties
And those with a fragrant scent.

But it still is lacking color
A soft and gentle hue,
Oh, I wish upon my garden shelf
There perched a lovely you.

~ Our Morning Garden ~

It's morning in our garden
As we walk together here
Collecting pretty posies
While the air is fresh and clear

The mist is gently floating
Yet soon will drift away
Immersed now in the stillness
Our hearts know what to say

The sun is almost bursting
Upon the mountain range
Perfect is the dawning
There's nothing we would change

I whisper, look the tender dewdrops
Reflecting rainbow shine
You lean to smell a fragrance
Oh, our garden is sublime

Together here among the flowers
Where we can never part
Our Father made us sisters
In the garden of our heart

  ~ I Miss My Garden Friend ~

I took a little thoughtful stroll, a little turn around the garden well
It was nice, I enjoyed the sunshine the pretty flowers and the morning dew
But, there was something not quite right, I realised, I was missing you

I could hear the birds chirping happily, the sky a panoramic view
White fluffy clouds like fairy floss, soft, I couldn't reach, the rustle of the leaves,
I knew  it was lovely in the gentle breeze, but even more, I was missing you

It was calm and still, in the solitude I could feel the quiet reverie
Could almost hear the flowers whispering (I imagine that they do)
But, I wished for someone special to share the prettiness...
I was missing you

I want to thank you for so many things but,
mostly for your smile, that glows from within
so beautifully as warmth for me to find

You are lovely nestled in my garden
the garden of my soul, snuggled in
to keep forever the sweetest hand to hold

I want to thank you for the way you care
as you button up to give to me your loveliness
each day and all so prettily

For, pretty, you are to me precious in my heart
I'm so glad for my special garden pal
and thank God for all you are

~ Garden Of Love ~

I walked into a garden
A garden made of love
Where roses bloom in every room
And days are filled with hugs

I turned around a corner
And found a lovely nook
I felt someone so near
But was too shy to look

I tiptoed down the garden path
And found a little swing
I eased myself into the seat
The prettiest ever seen

I heard a happy whistle
Such a special little tune
And then I understood where I was
I had found the heart of you

~ Thyme In My Garden ~

More of my thyme than not
Is tied into the special thyme I spend
Cultivating my garden
And nurturing my flower beds

I collect so many pretty leaves
And add them to my growing heap
Then ponder on a little re-arranging
Choosing beauty there to keep

I gather up sachets of goodness
To scatter all around
Then sprinkle on the blessing
So the blossoms will abound

I try to steady weeping stems
Safe from storms behind the picket fence
Kneeling often just to breathe in
 The very sweetest scents

Oh, I think my lovely garden
Is the one my Father loves to send
'Tis always thyme to enjoy the wonder
Of very special blooming friends

A rose garden holds such lovely perfume;
when it is shared,  it can transform
 the simplest moment
into a beautiful
gift of love

~ Garden Teddy Hugs ~

I have the cutest li'l teddy and nothing
would he ever bear, but a li'l lovin'
And a lot of tender care
I set him in the garden, he watched me everywhere
And as he gently nestled, a smile
he sweetly shared...then he whispered
with a twinkle.. Was it you, I heard,
all soft n' warm
'I am your so very special friend
'Tis what I sit here for'

The fabric of our friendship is of the warmest kind

~ Garden Angel ~

Just as the sun arose
I felt the coolest breeze
So I slipped into the garden
A few dewdrops There to tease

As I meandered through the fragrance
I imagined that I heard
A footstep on the path
I thought I spied a glimmer
I felt it in my heart

A pretty rose then caught my eye
I leant down to breathe it in,
Then I felt it wafting by again
A presence in my garden
 Like someone there unseen

I'm sure I heard a little giggle
As I glanced this way and that
A gentle rustling in the leaves
Oh, it made me feel so glad
As upon a shady bench I sat

I whispered as I pondered
Warmed by God's glistening rays
And there just slipping out of view
I'm sure I spied a pretty angel
In my heart, I knew that it was you

A friend can still feel loved even from afar
Friends are sent from God to our heart
You are truly a dear angel to me.

~ Our Rose Garden ~

There is an inviting entrance to a garden
A path for us to go on through
Beneath entwining arches
Together, me and you

There is only loveliness there in
As we wander onward, arm in arm
Meandering into secret places
Delighting, one in heart

Sharing only sweetest fragrance
Choosing the prettiest bloom
Exclaiming aloud the wonder
Tucked within each arbor room

Til a shady nook, of coolness calls us

For a refreshing cup of tea
Here in our own friendship garden
Of roses, velvet sweet

 Thankyou for always walking
a path of roses with me
