~ Rejoice ~ It's Christmas Time ~
In the stillness of the starlit night, I flew within my dream,
Searching far and wide, to find a gift, to give my heart away, for a sweeter love to fly.
I heard a voice, a whisper low, yet, clear for me to know,
This is the place for you to grasp, a boundless love to show.
You will return, to be restored out of the darkness of this dream,
When you are carried in eternal light.... My radiance is ever seen.
That light has shone since I was born and from within you I will shine,
In this, your time in history, I chose you to be Mine.
Now My life beams from your heart, for My beauty you have seen,
You will be My bell tower keeper to ring out loud and clear
Rejoice, The love I give rings true
Christmas is for ever, it is not a dream.

Don't stand alone at any time, if you really want to come on in
Just give a hoy and slip in here, from anywhere you've been.
Don't just stand about on life's threshold, cold and shiverin'
Just slip the latch and stomp those feet, it's cozy here within.
Don't just knock and knock and wait, all chilled without
Your heart will freeze, just come on in.
I heard you ring there's warmth within to share
Don't hesitate, just turn the knob. you're one I want to know.
It's freezin' out, you're welcome here
Within my heart you'll always be at home.

Yes, oh yes, there's wonder now, He came with all for you and me
Jesus came with life and love, for everything we need
If we want more than we can see
Amazing gifts of heaven's light-
Then in Him, we find forgiveness, peace, His everlasting life.
The secret is so very clear, the Christmas gift to find,
Is Jesus Christ the Lord Himself, for all that is divine.
Oh Lord, You gave Your all away
Your life, Your love, Your blood
So we may know abundant life, You give more than enough.
You guarantee our every trust
You seal our days for us, You are the promise we believe

Why
is Christmas time so special Why do we love this time of year, For we become quite flustered with all that is to do As that special date draws near. But, when we come to ponder it So much is happening in our heart, something comes to make us different to walk a newer path.We picture the sweet innocence of the baby Jesus face and of how He gave His life, when He poured on us His grace. So our hearts overflow with gratitude, and we feel a softness deep within, then fear for tomorrow abates because of the love that He will bring, for His love draws us all closer and we want to be together Just as birds sing all the brighter, regardless of the weather. We play the carols and their beauty fills our soul. So as we become grateful life's blessing must be told. Which helps us see loveliness in people everywhere, then we smile too showing that we care. Spontaneously, we are kinder making us feel good today, then in the darkness cares just fly away. At day break we forget to criticize, bitterness and worries disappear, then deepest hurt, just up and dies. Contentment overtakes all we do or say for a joyous spirit has come in to stay. We find many wonders here at our feet And because our eyes keep looking up we find nice folk walking down the street. Before we know it every moment becomes of the gladdest thing..O, Jesus keep our eyes seeing only You, then, this Christmas, we will gladly sing. ~ Happy Birthday Jesus ~
As I wake on Christmas morn, Jesus, You'll be on my mind,
For today it is Your birthday, where Your love will shine.
But what presents will You receive, if You give them all to me,
While we are celebrating You... Why is it me You long to see.
Happy Birthday precious Jesus, Thank You for all You give,
In sacrificing everything, You give me all it is, to live.
Smile with us in our celebration
We're rejoicing in Your love,
You've made this such a special time, as You came to join us from above.
Sit with us at our table, come right inside our heart,
To know Your wondrous joy we need all You will impart.
And what would You have us do Lord Jesus,
What would You have us give away,
But to let You have our lives, so we may overflow You, from within today.
Happy Birthday Jesus, we love You - for loving us always

May you experience the love of Christ,
though it is so great you will never fully understand it.
Then you will be filled with the fullness of life
and power that comes from God.
Now glory be to God!
By his mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more
than we would ever dare to ask or hope.

~ The Gift We Need ~
At Christmas, e'en more than other times, we crave a little cheer
Wishing it to be most real, to take away all fear
The face of Jesus we long to see, but, He may seem so far away
Our spirit just a little blank, as we wonder what to pray
We wish so much to see His smile, and feel His love today
To make this Christmas full of joy, with a hope we can convey
Lord, Jesus, lift our eyes on high, above the glow around
For if we turn our gaze above, Your wondrous love is found
You are the all we cannot see, The gift we need the more
Give us eyes to see beyond, to all worth living for
You came to love, You live to love, to give Your life away
So we might lose this life, to know Your life that is to stay.

~ Tinsel Hair The Christmas Bear ~
Have you ever gone a trudging wearily
in snow drifts on a Christmas eve,
Deep into the woods where the owls hoot and the moon sparkles in the trees.
Well, if you tip-toe very very quietly and if you hold quite still in the dark
If you are very hushed to hear, you will be one to know the hidden secret there,
For there dancing in the moonlight is Tinsel Hair, The Christmas Bear....
He only comes out of hiding to be seen when the holly trees are red
And mistletoe is everywhere, for everyone who is searching for him
will find
The Christmas cuddly bear with tinsel hair.
Now, if you hear his special song, in your heart you'll see him, do not fear,
He may even sing under your Christmas tree
"Smile it's Jesus birthday, give away hugs to one and all
And leave gifts for all to see".
But, look out when Christmas night descends
And you are very tired, he may just as quickly, up and disappear,
But don't let him run away..hey, hold onto Tinsel Hair the loving bear,
Keep him close, and he will whisper
"Let's give away huggles every day of the year".

~ The Little Christmas Angel's Quest ~
There's a lovely Christmas angel flying down from up above,
Searching for the secret, the secret gift of love.
Peering in the windows, at the Mummies baking pies,
The Daddies wrapping presents, that money always buys.
Is it found under the Christmas trees, standing in the hall?
Or tucked within the presents neatly wrapped for one and all?
What of here, a child crying, for a dear one's gone away,
If some gifts were left for him would such love forever stay.
Stockings hung above the mantle, will they fill with love so sweet?
When they bulge with little treasures, what heart cry to meet.
The lights that sparkle in the streets, draw such gasps of pleasure,
Is love glowing from their worth, is this the way to measure?
What about those pretty folk, dressed up fine to ring the bells?
But, one look at all the faces, had a tale to tell.
Surely happy smiles on the snowmen, told fun had been in town.
The little angel kept looking in so many places,
Where true love could be found,
Then prayed, God, where are You here, please show me, so I know,
How You put Your love in man, Your people down below,
Then He whispered soft and low
True love is a secret miracle to know,
Jesus gave away..but see
A glowing candle, can show you all
-It unselfishly gives itself away
While unknowingly grows small.

O star you take me to the light of our beautiful Jesus born on that night, so long ago in the dark of the night. There we see Him in the manger so bare, carved from a tree to grow tall with might, to reach out with care to shelter mankind for He stretched out His arms with all-embracing love in His heart to hang on a tree, to die to gift life everlasting to set us free, so we can rejoice and then spread our arms wide like a tall pine tree reaching sharing, sparkling, pointing, caring, touching still solid strong rooted in the love of God evergreen for all eternity. ~ Pure White Christmas ~
Christmas time was coming and my Mummy dressed me, oh so warm,
So I wandered into the frosty garden, to see the early dawn.
I shared my toast with a little robin and chatted 'bout the falling snow,
Then I peeked under my fir tree, and Oh! What would you know...
There, sleeping in my hiding place was a little bunny and a deer,
So, soft to them, I whispered I am your friend, please don't fear.
It's special Christmas time and there's lots and lots of love
I will tell you so much of it, all about our best friend up above.
See this tree that's staying green, that tells us we'll live for always
And its needles go up like hands, 'cause that's how my family prays.
There's a star atop our inside tree, just like the bright one long ago,
It points everyone to Jesus - The Saviour that we've got to know.
On each branch we have a candle, showing us Jesus is the light,
He came down to take away the dark, so we are safe from night.
Hanging on our door is the wreath, that's Jesus hugs all around,
His love goes on forever and inside His arms is where I'm found.
Do you know the prickly holly leaf?
Well that's the crown He wore,
They pushed it on until there was red, like the berries that we saw.
So every Christmas, we have presents to remember the greatest gift of all,
Our lovely Jesus, and the magi brought some gifts, at His feet to fall.
I love the peppermint candy cane too, it's pure white, red and green
With a crook just like the shepherds that hooks us back from where we've been.
Have you seen a pretty angel?
Well, they announced our Jesus' birth, and said Glory in the highest, good will and peace on earth.
You must have heard the bells, they ring real loud for all to hear,
To tell us all to come to Jesus 'cause we forget He's near.
And that's all I can remember, but, don't you go away,
For now I've told you, it's all so lovely
With us, you'll want to stay

~ I'll Be Home For Christmas ~
I feel the calling deep inside my heart, it's time to go back home,
Home for the holidays, where true love is known.
Please keep the lights all burning brightly and the door a little ajar,
So a sweet aroma of Christmas pudding will draw me from afar
Turn down my quilt just like always and re-fill the cookie tin,
Let Rusty off the chain, no matter where I've been-
I'll be running on home for Christmas. no matter what I've seen,
For that's where my heart belongs-
Oh, don't go looking for me elsewhere, Home is where I've gone.
I want to be with family now to wander there, where all of me begun
And watch the happenings, from all I've seen and done-
I'd like to get all sentimental, and climb up my cubby tree
Just to see what I can see, then I'll find the juicy berries that were always there for me.
Then as I reminisce and pause upon the stair, I'll hear the laughter-
All the singing we have done,
I want to turn back the clock now to those days of simple fun-
Time has swept away those precious years, but, I will revel in my treasured dreams
And delight in fond memories- at home for the holidays
So warm with you, is where my heart will ever stay.

~ Kitty's Christmas In The City ~
Just before Christmas we gave our Kitty such a special treat,
No, not a furry pussy, but our new Granny down the street.
Kitty grew up on a wheat and sheep farm and raised four strapping sons,
She laboured hard from dawn 'til dusk, there was no time for fun.
Our sprightly Kitty has turned eighty, we met her walking puppies in the park,
Oh we love her, she is so sweet and deserves a wondrous treat.
She climbed up into the front seat of our van and we showed her all the pretty sights,
Her very first Christmas in the city to see the fairy lights.
Picture the glow within her sparkly eyes, her giggle, as she cried,
Oh look, Oh how beautiful, Oh my,
Just imagine the smiles later, as she laid upon her pillow
Letting out a perfect sigh.

Picture the glow within her sparkly eyes, her giggle, as she cried,
Oh look, Oh how beautiful, Oh my,
Just imagine the smiles later, as she laid upon her pillow
Letting out a perfect sigh.

~ The Christmas Orange ~
Jake was an orphan, he lived in a dorm of ten
Usually hungry, always cold and poor, deprived, so then,
they had too little in their lives to bring delight,
except Christmas. There was never enough,
though there seemed to be a little more to eat this night,
and the dorm seemed a little warm, maybe love came from above.
But more than this, there was 'the orange'.
A unique wonder that came indeed,
it was coveted by each child as was no other thing .
As with most things we desire,
the having of the orange was the smaller part.
It was the anticipation, the savouring of the taste
that pressed each of them to admire, compare, hoard, and love it so
within their heart.
until it lay shriveled and dead;
often it was New Year's Day before they even ate it all.
On this particular Christmas day,
young Jake had somehow offended the cruel master
in some minor way. His punishment was the loss
of his precious orange. After a year of waiting for this day,
it was taken away. His impassioned declaration of remorse
was to no avail. Jake spent Christmas day alone, with no-one near to play.
The long day was finally over, and yet Jake could not sleep.
He was convinced that his world was unloving, uncaring and too sad.
Quietly, he sobbed for his future,
and perhaps that of the world, but mostly he cried
because he didn't even have an orange in which to be glad.
Suddenly as Jack lay in the stillness,
from above, a hand touched his arm, with love.
Something was placed within his trembling hands.
The giver quickly disappeared into the shadows of the dark,
leaving Jake with something warm-
His heart was beating very fast.
He nearly dropped the pieces before he realized what he held.
It was an orange, a strange one he could tell-,
for it was made up of segments from nine other oranges.
The nine sweet boys chose to send a piece of their
highly prized orange to their dear and lonely friend.

~ While The World Lay Sleeping ~
Have we ever pondered long on where we might have been,
When the baby Jesus came, as Savior,
Lord, for you and me.
While the world was fast asleep and the little Jesus crept inside,
Would we be there to welcome with arms out open wide.
In the darkness of that normal night When the Father gave His child,
To give the world new life
Would our heart have been in kind.
As the heavens exploded, when Jesus left His throne behind,
Would we have been with shepherds, watching for divine.
Or might we be with wisemen, the few watching from the east,
When God gave all His love
For the greatest to the least.
While all the earth was darkened, eyes not longing to see,
Would we be looking for the promise, God's life for you and me.
Would we believe when shadows loom and hope for all is lost,
That here was heaven's answer, as echoed forth angelic host.
Would we be looking to an earthly king and miss the star on high,
Or would we bring our heart to Him
and know God has arrived.

Come to the Savior, just come as you are; Come worship God's Son, you don't need a star.
Come worship the king, wherever you go, All that you are,
He already knows Come to the Father, this very night, Humbled and awed, kneel at His side.
Come to the Lord; He's reaching with love, Watching your heart, He wants you to come.
Come as the wise men, rest at His feet, Your gift of love, your Savior to meet.
Come and believe Him, this Christmas morn...
Come now with joy, for Christ has been born!
