Our Lord Jesus is Coming again.... ♪ Michael W. Smith - Freedom ♪
T'was a night very normal and all through the home,
There wasn't much stirring, the dog chewed his bone...
Mum by the fire, was watching TV,
The baby asleep, curled up on her knee.
The children were bathed and safe in each bed,
Not one said a Thank You with bow of the head.
No Bible stories, for I didn't care,
In an ordinary day, with problems to bear.
When out of the East I heard a loud blast,
I sprang to my feet to peer through the glass.
Flipped wide the shutters and threw up the sash!
As out of the window I saw a bright flash,
There to my wondering eyes did appear,
People ascending, my heart filled with fear.
I saw our dear baby carried away,
And knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!
The light of His face made me cover my head,
It was Jesus returning, just like He said.
And though I possessed knowledge and wealth,
I cried when I realised I had lied to myself.
He opened The Book of Life in His hand,
Containing the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;
I knew it was not, as my heart filled with shame.
I had wasted my lifetime, He gave me to find
Life everlasting - that could have been mine
The people whose names had been written with love,
He gathered to take to His Father above.
All who loved Jesus, arose with no sound,
The rest were left here, bound to the ground.
I fell to my knees, but it was too late,
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I wept and I cried as they rose out of sight;
If only, if only I'd been ready tonight.
*****
The time ticking clock could almost be done,
Any moment our Saviour may suddenly come.
Our life is so precious and when comes the call,
What we choose to be now, will be our all.

13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant(W) about those who fall asleep,(X)
or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.(Y)
14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again(Z) and so we believe
that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.(AA)
15 According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive,
who are left till the coming of the Lord,(AB) will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.(AC)
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,(AD) with a loud command,
with the voice of the archangel(AE) and with the trumpet call of God,(AF)
and the dead in Christ will rise first.(AG)
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left(AH)
will be caught up together with them in the clouds(AI) to meet the Lord in the air.
And so we will be with the Lord(AJ) forever.
18 Therefore encourage each other(AK) with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4
10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you(AA)
from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world(AB)
to test(AC) those who live on the earth.(AD)
11 I am coming soon.(AE) Hold on to what you have,(AF) so that no one will take your crown.(AG)
12 Him who overcomes(AH) I will make a pillar(AI)in the temple of my God.
Never again will he leave it.
I will write on him the name of my God(AJ)
and the name of the city of my God,(AK) the new Jerusalem,(AL)
which is coming down out of heaven from my God;
and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear,
let him hear(AM) what the Spirit says to the churches.

22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be abolished is death. The Resurrection Body
35 But someone may ask,(BJ) “How are the dead raised?
With what kind of body will they come?”(BK) 36 How foolish!(BL)
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.(BM)
37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be,
but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.(BN)
39 All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another.
40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies;

41 The sun has one kind of splendor,(BO) the moon another and the stars another;(BP)

the second man from heaven.(CA) 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth;
and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.(CB)
49 And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man,(CC)
so shall we[f] bear the likeness of the man from heaven.(CD)

52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(CK)

53 For the perishable(CM) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(CN) and the mortal with immortality.
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality,
then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[g](CO)

Those who accepted the Lord Jesus as Saviour will be caught up
to be with the Lord forever as His Bride. We will have a wedding feast in heaven.
Revelation 19
19 After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude(A) in heaven shouting:
“Hallelujah!(B)
Salvation(C) and glory and power(D) belong to our God,
2 for true and just are his judgments.(E)
He has condemned the great prostitute(F) who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”(G)
3 And again they shouted:“Hallelujah!(H)
The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.”(I)
4 The twenty-four elders(J) and the four living creatures(K) fell down(L) and worshiped God,
who was seated on the throne. And they cried:
“Amen, Hallelujah!”(M)
5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
“Praise our God, all you his servants,(N)
you who fear him, both small and great!”(O)
6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,(P) like the roar of rushing waters(Q)
and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!(R)
For our Lord God Almighty(S) reigns.(T)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!(U)
For the wedding of the Lamb(V) has come, and his bride(W) has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen,(X) bright and clean was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts(Y) of the saints.)
9 Then the angel said to me,(Z) “Write:(AA) ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’”(AB) And he added, “These are the true words of God.”(AC)

At The End of The Tribulation
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19 : 11-16 |
Heaven opens, and Jesus appears--
this time not as a Lamb but as a warrior on a white horse (symbolizing victory).
Jesus came first as a Lamb to be a sacrifice for sin,
but he will return as a Conqueror and King to execute judgment (2Th_1:7-10).
Jesus' first coming brought forgiveness; His second will bring judgment.
The battle lines have been drawn between God and evil,
and the world is waiting for the King to ride onto the field.

from the spring of the water of life.(R) 7 He who overcomes(S) will inherit all this,
and I will be his God and he will be my son.(T)
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral,
those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars(U)--
their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.(V) This is the second death.”(W)
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues(X)
came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride,(Y) the wife of the Lamb.”
10 And he carried me away(Z) in the Spirit(AA) to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.(AB)
11 It shone with the glory of God,(AC) and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel,
like a jasper,(AD)clear as crystal.(AE) 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates,(AF)
and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.(AG)
13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.
14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations,(AH)
and on them were the names of the twelve apostles(AI) of the Lamb.
Revelation 21
15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod(AJ) of gold to measure the city,
its gates(AK) and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide.
He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[a] in length,
and as wide and high as it is long.
17 He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits[b] thick,[c] by man’s measurement, which the angel was using.
18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.
19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone.
The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz,
the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[d]
21 The twelve gates(AR) were twelve pearls,(AS) each gate made of a single pearl.
The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.(AT)
22 I did not see a temple(AU) in the city, because the Lord God Almighty(AV)
and the Lamb(AW) are its temple.
23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God(AX)
gives it light,(AY) and the Lamb(AZ) is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light,
and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.(BA)
25 On no day will its gates(BB) ever be shut,(BC) for there will be no night there.(BD)
26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.(BE)
27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful,(BF)
but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.(BG)
