~ Walking Together ~
We walked together, you and I, in pains of life, duress,
We walked together in the hope
Of finding out God’s best
We walked together, hour by hour, sharing heaven’s love,
We walked in footsteps, clear ahead
That Jesus left for us.
We talked of life, eternity, and how we learn to pray,
And when we laughed, it felt so good
To ease the present pain.
We walked within God’s kingdom, though it was pouring rain
We talked of beauty Jesus made
And why it’s being stained.
We walked and I received, the life in Him you live
We walked, I cried, you gave-
With all you had to give.

~Assured Of Love ~
We need to be assured of love, within a time of stress
Though it seem dark, we learn to trust that only God knows best.
He holds all wisdom in the plan, unfolding day by day
While it appears that all is lost, there’s strength in what we pray.
For then He brings His gentle peace, He comes with all we need
Just when it is required, our eternal soul to feed.
For that of us we always keep,
Within, where Jesus is
He’s bearing us to glory’s joy and everlasting bliss.
1 Samuel 7:12

~ It Is His Time ~
Sometimes it seems we have no-one, that everything’s gone wrong
The identity, family, possessions held
Are all completely gone.
We ask the pressing question, if God is love, why thus,
Why would He make the choice
To take so much from us.
Then day by day, the time goes by, the questions are no more
It can’t be fixed, so we submit
And leave the closing door.
It is His time and never ours, His will that must be done
And there’s the rest, the calming peace
In acceptance of His love.

~ When We Are Caught ~
When we are caught in anguish, it’s a struggle to believe
That God is being good and kind
In what He has bequeathed.
But, kind and good He always is, of character and heart-
All goodness comes from Him alone
He is where kindness starts.
So then, it’s up to us to see, that what He does is right,
Right, because He has a plan
To draw us to His light.
His thoughts are always merciful, He loves us as His own,
Thus all He chooses for our life
Will draw us to His home.
He leads us through the darkest night, through waves that billow high
We follow in His steps of love, walked-
So we will never die.
Psalm 77:13

~ Just Stand Still ~
This battle is not yours, ‘tis yours to just stand still
Stand still, the Lord requires
That He fulfil His will.
Take position and stand firm, The Lord’s delivering you
Don’t be afraid, nor be discouraged
His deliverance is true.
Tomorrow, rise to face the foe, but all you’ll do is stand
The battle is not yours, but Gods-
Stand still and watch His plan.
Then you will take possession, of all God says is yours,
Claim His promise and believe
He’s opening the door.
Don’t be afraid nor terrified, The Lord will go before,
He will conquer, you possess-
Believe that He has more.

~ Sparrows And Lilies ~
Jesus feeds the little sparrows, each day they find the food
Only God has given to them-
They know that God is good.
They sing, because He made, their voices for His praise
They sing to us of Jesus
At the break of day.
God clothes the lilies of the field, in garments flowing white,
Each lovely flower all arranged
By God’s abundant life.
Just as He feeds and clothes them, He watches over us
With detailed care He comes
With provision we can trust.
While we’re besieged by worry, doubt and fearful foe
Grief and abandonment-
We shed such lonely tears,
So, God reminds us of the birds, the lilies of the field,
That we might let Him have control
And to His wisdom yield.
He promises protection, a garrison around,
If we will not be anxious
His peace will then abound.
A peace that will transcend, outsoar the troubled mind,
A peace that floats down like a blanket-
With feast that tastes divine.
In everything by prayer, petition, He asks us to request
But, only with thanksgiving-
Will then He grant His rest.
He doesn’t say He will remove, the problem or the pain,
But, peace and rest of heart is ours-
If we will praise His name.
Our God has every power, He cares for each of us,
In every little detail
His love we learn to trust.

~ The Fragrance ~
She didn’t come to hear of wisdom, though the best of teachers came
She didn’t sit there at His feet
Because of His great fame.
She didn’t come to ask of Him, though that she’d done before,
When her brother passed away,
she had cried unto her Lord
She didn’t come to see the saints, though fellowship is sweet
She didn’t come to be refreshed
After an ordinary week.
But, come she did, when hatred reigned, disdain for the one
She loved with all her heart
That others sought to shun.
Yet, she would come to pour her love, upon this one adored,
Beloved of her soul-
Because He was her Lord.
There she knelt beside His feet, to anoint them with perfume,
She wiped the incense with her hair-
The fragrance filled the room.
Adoration, homage, worship, blessing was her aim,
In honour of the blessed one
Who gently spoke her name.
Those all about may murmur, not knowing what they said,
Not wanting that this Saviour
Would be dying in their stead.
But, Mary knew, so Mary knelt, to worship at the feet
Of God, her Saviour, Lord and King
With alabaster sweet.
John 12:3

~ Our Morning Star ~
Jesus is our morning star, rising ‘fore the break of day,
While all is very dark and still
We see His gentle rays.
He comes to us before the dawn, when light we cannot see,
He comes to us when no-one else
Can ever with us be
Our morning star arises, when the day is almost due
While day has not arrived just yet
He comes to me and you.
In darkness all around us pressed, His light will shine within,
The very presence of our God
To banish every sin.
He is our hope and purpose, encouragement to live
Strength to carry on through all
By all He has to give.
The day is soon about to rise, soon He will take us home,
The bright and morning star is near,
The one we love to know.

~ Though Out Of View ~
Though the figtrees cannot blossom, because of drought so drear
God is my salvation, to comfort every fear.
Though fruit is not upon the vines, the goodness out of view,
Day by day in Jesus, my heart is still renewed.
Though olive trees all fail, to bear the oil of joyous life,
Yet, in the Lord I will rejoice, through sorrow of the night.
Though fields are dry and barren, blowing in hot wind,
Jehovah God will be my strength, just as He's always been.
Though wandering cold outside the fold, unable to get home,
The Saviour walks beside me, so I am not alone.
Though stalls are all deserted, no nourishment I find,
I will yet hope within God's love, for He is always mine.
He'll have me walk on mountain paths, to see as He would see
He'll make my feet to walk on high
Where there's eternity.

~ When I Left ~
I have a perfect righteousness, but, it is not of me,
I have a perfect conscience, amazing though that be.
I have a perfect love within, without me and before,
For, I have a perfect Saviour
Who is my all in all.
‘Tis when I left my sin with Him, He nailed it to His Cross,
He covered me with His own blood, that my old self be lost.
Now, I can go direct to God, I need not ever fear,
My perfect Saviour lives within
I couldn’t be more near.
Trapped in the evil of this world
I never ever want to be,
Safe in the perfect love of God
I'm eternally set free.

The gloom of the world is but a shadow.
Behind it, yet within reach, is joy.
There is radiance and glory in the darkness, could we but see, and
to see, we have only to look. I beseech you to look.
Fra Giovanni
I prayed for Faith, and I thought that some day Faith would come down
and strike me like lightning. But Faith did not seem to come.
One day I read in the tenth chapter of Romans,
"Now Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God"..
I had closed my Bible, and prayed for Faith.
I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and Faith has been growing ever since.

HELP MY UNBELIEF
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
MARK 9:24
"Faith does not come from ignorance. Faith is based on what we know.
Before we will trust others with something precious to us, we first try to find out if they are trustworthy.
This father was asking that he might come to know God in such a dimension
that he could trust Him to cure his son.
The father did not know Jesus well, but he had heard and seen enough to convince him that
if there was any hope for his son, it lay with Jesus. In desperation he cried out to Jesus for help.
Jesus' response was to heal his son. The desperate father had correctly gone to Jesus with his problem
even though he was struggling with his faith.
When we are struggling to believe, that is not the time to avoid Christ or to be ashamed of our struggle.
We will never increase our faith by not going to Jesus!
Rather, Jesus wants to help us with our belief. He can not only meet our need,
but He will also give us faith to trust Him to provide for our need.
If we are struggling to believe that God can take care of us,
it is because we don't know Him yet-as He wants us to.
If we go to Him, He will show us His ability to meet every need we will ever face."

~When Prompted ~
We need to pray for people, when they come into our mind
For, we never know the prompting,
May be at a very needful time.
We need to pray for those, who come into our dreams
For, we never know their presence,
May mean more than it seems.
We never know that moment, what protection God will send
Unlocking many angels
Their spirit to defend.
We are as warriors at war, for evil to be shunned
We need to pray when prompted
So the person will feel loved.

With a dead end before us, Christ showed us the way;
When we walked in the nighttime, Christ brought us the day.
With our faces all hidden, Christ carried our shame;
When we felt so unwanted, Christ called out our name.
With a cup that was empty, Christ brought us His well;
When facing destruction, Christ saved us from Hell.
With our fate like a leper, Christ reached out to heal;
When we lived like a phony, Christ brought what was real.
With our fists in defiance; Christ stretched out His hand;
When our footsteps were sinking, Christ helped us to stand.
With no hope of heaven, Christ came from above;
When our hearts were so empty, Christ poured out His love.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
who once were not a people but are now the people of God,
who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10
